Here are two boats that I am looking at. I need a large boat for my family + freeloaders. I have 3 kids 1 of which wakes along with my wife and I. Are either of these preferable by wakeworld as a beginner/agressive wakeboarder. Any imput is appreciated. If niether of these are any good, please let me know what is within the 25k-29k range. thanks! <BR> <BR><a href="http://portland.craigslist.org/boa/156585199.html" target="_blank">http://portland.craigslist.org/boa/156585199.html</a> <BR> <BR><a href="http://portland.craigslist.org/boa/156585199.html" target="_blank">http://portland.craigslist.org/boa/156585199.html</a> <BR> <BR>

bocephus 05-02-2006 10:53 PM

those are the same boats dude!

nautyboy 05-02-2006 10:53 PM

well...they are both the same boat? I think you need to change your links. <BR>

lionel 05-02-2006 11:01 PM

Maybe this is the other boat...... <BR> <BR><a href="http://portland.craigslist.org/boa/156626195.html" target="_blank">http://portland.craigslist.org/boa/156626195.html</a>

mike_gilbert 05-02-2006 11:30 PM

In my opinion not even a comparison. The Air Nautique has the same hull as the Super Air/210, the quality of nautique is much better than moomba in my opinion. I have a 99 air and it still looks and runs like new 600+ hours and running.

gr8wakes 05-02-2006 11:35 PM

Yeah that's the link. Here they are again sorry for the mixup. I added a 3rd boat to the list (cal air). Thanks for any info. <BR><a href="http://portland.craigslist.org/boa/156626195.html" target="_blank">http://portland.craigslist.org/boa/156626195.html</a> <BR> <BR><a href="http://portland.craigslist.org/boa/156585199.html%20" target="_blank">http://portland.craigslist.org/boa/156585199.html </a> <BR> <BR><a href="http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/2/0/83614920.htm" target="_blank">http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/2/0/83614920.htm</a>

Ding ding, AzWakeBrdr5450 hit it, I wouldn't hesitate to get the Air Nautique if I were in a financial position to afford both.

wakesetter101 05-03-2006 4:53 AM

I would go with the Calabria. Unless you are going to put a tower on the Air. I like the way the towers look alot more than a pole.

supra24ssv 05-03-2006 5:12 AM

the moomba is set up like you want i would try to get them down 3-4k if they do i would go with moomba

psudy 05-03-2006 6:51 AM

I would talk them down a grand on the Nauty and buy a tower with that. The Nauty is going to be by far a better wake boat, but you will hate the pole. It cuts off the bow with the cable, and is in general, a pain in the ass.

bremsen 05-03-2006 7:06 AM

IMO that Air is way overpriced. I might offer $25k w/ the genII tower installed, if its pristine. Lots of 98-99 Airs around under $25k.

jcv 05-03-2006 7:19 AM

I may be mistaken, but I don't believe the old direct drive Air Nautiques are on the same hull as the SAN

noti_dad 05-03-2006 7:35 AM

Jeff's right, the DD nautys used the SS/SAN hull until 94 or 95 then changed it. 98 Air would not have a SAN hull.

mike_gilbert 05-03-2006 12:05 PM

my mistake, I still think the nautique is the better boat, but the price is pretty high if you could get it for 25 or around there get it. The Calabria is pretty nice aswell.

How about this one: <BR> <BR><a href="http://www.craigslist.org/eby/boa/155777785.html" target="_blank">http://www.craigslist.org/eby/boa/155777785.html</a>

derby 05-03-2006 12:52 PM

Woops your in Portland. <BR> <BR>Could it be worth a drive? Looks like a smokin deal to me. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by derby on May 03, 2006)

wakesetter101 05-03-2006 2:23 PM

I think the first three are over priced. <BR> <BR>The last one looks to be priced about right.

stephan 05-03-2006 4:14 PM

Find yourself a used Sanger V210. Its an incredible boat and since you can get a brand new one for the low to mid $30k range I am sure you will find one in your range.

gr8wakes 05-04-2006 1:18 AM

I haven't been able to find a sanger in my area. Let me know if you know someone selling one.

tyler97217 05-04-2006 6:33 AM

Hey Ken, <BR>I met the guy that is selling the Moomba by chance last night on the Willamette. I jumped in and checked it out last night cause I saw your post earlier. It is actually super clean. I think he might be taking it out to show some other people tonight from what he was saying. Go check it out. Find a good dealer too. That can be very important in your boat ownership. I agree Sanger is a great boat, but the dealer is in Longview. Moomba dealer is Active Watersports and has a great reputation. The Nautique dealer is up near the Columbia and never heard to much of anything about them. THey are a pretty small dealership. Good luck in your search and we look forward to seeing you out on the water.

bocephus 05-04-2006 7:10 AM

I was quoted $37,500 for a stripped down '06 Sanger V210. That doesn't include taxes, registration or the 10 hour drive to go get it. The Sanger costs a lot more than it once did. I paid just over $5K more for my '06 SAN 210 than I would have paid in total for a Sanger V210. It is a signature series though.

boarder_x 05-04-2006 7:14 AM

Wow! When I bought my boat, the local Sanger dealership had a radio ad saying you could get a V210 for $27K. That was three years ago. I would have thought they'd go up a little, but not $10K.

tyler97217 05-04-2006 7:25 AM

Bocephus, <BR>Wow you got a 06 SAN 210 for $42,500? That sounds like a smoking deal too.

ldr 05-04-2006 7:41 AM

Ken, <BR> I know it is a drive but it may be worth the money you could save on a nicer boat. There is a 1999 Ski supreme V210 medalist with tower here in fresno for $17,999 and i was looking in the paper and found someone selling a late 90's Sanger v210 for $19,000. and here is a link to a sanger in Lodi. <BR><a href="http://stockton.craigslist.org/boa/149937869.html" target="_blank">http://stockton.craigslist.org/boa/149937869.html</a> <BR>Unless you're set on a DD i would take any of these over what was already posted. <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>(Message edited by ldr on May 04, 2006)

jcv 05-04-2006 10:40 AM

an '06 210 for $42,500? who'd you have to kill? i've yet to see one for under $55k

byrd 05-04-2006 11:17 AM

I think he was meaning aout the door price +$5K. Probably around $48K-$50K...

bocephus 05-04-2006 12:54 PM

On the Sanger they were only going to give me $20K for my trade, while I owed $21,900. I did get a smoking deal on the SAN though.

gr8wakes 05-04-2006 11:06 PM

Are sangers really good wake boats? I have not heard of them. I'm leaning towards this Calabria Cal Air for $27,500. Any input? <BR><a href="http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/2/0/83614920.htm" target="_blank">http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/2/0/83614920.htm</a>

gr8wakes 05-04-2006 11:09 PM

Just found this boat as well. Is it priced high? <BR> <BR><a href="http://seattle.craigslist.org/boa/156216106.html" target="_blank">http://seattle.craigslist.org/boa/156216106.html</a>

boarder_x 05-04-2006 11:12 PM

That seems really high for a Supreme. Especially one that old.

boarder_x 05-04-2006 11:15 PM

I have a question on that CalAir. Is says the designer is Martin Brendella. He first designed the Ski Brendella for ...?? forgetting which company right now. He now owns MB as in B52 (Martin Brendella). What is his association with Calabria?

gr8wakes 05-04-2006 11:41 PM

What should I offer for the calabria or the Ski Supreme. I am looking to spend 29000 or less. At the same time, i don't want to get ripped off. <BR> <BR>Would 29k be too low for this one? <BR><a href="http://seattle.craigslist.org/boa/156453224.html" target="_blank">http://seattle.craigslist.org/boa/156453224.html</a>

gr8wakes 05-04-2006 11:44 PM

Another boat <BR><a href="http://portland.craigslist.org/boa/157648028.html" target="_blank">http://portland.craigslist.org/boa/157648028.html</a> <BR> <BR>What do you think?

tommyg 05-05-2006 7:52 AM

Ken, you really need to go check out these boats in person, and don't be anxious to buy until you find exactly what you want, because you'll be living with this thing for many years to come. <BR> <BR>I definitely recommend checking out very closely Nautiques and MC's. I've owned both, and there is definitely a solid feeling to both of those boats. <BR>I bought my '02 Super Air as a leftover dealer demo in early '03. The dealership was going out of business, and I got it for $36.5k with 70 hours. So, if you keep your eyes open and be patient, something good will come along. Again, just check them out in person, go for rides, and just as importantly...make sure you are comfortable with the service dept at your local dealer.

ldr 05-05-2006 8:14 AM

On the supreme i wouldn't spend more than 28K and on the centurion i probably just wouldn't get. If you notice the centurion doesn't even have wrap around seating. It would be well worth your money to expand your search area. you will more than make up the cost of travel if you find a good deal on one of the boats.
