I want a really fast board, I've always ridden a 137 and a 136 and I want to make the jump up to a board in the 140's just to give it a try. Will I notice a diff. speed wise? Also, I'll prob. be riding on the cable for the majority of the time so what board would be really good for cable riding? (fast, good edge hold, and good on obstacles)

Look at something with a mellow rocker if you´re going to be riding on the cable a lot. Bigger boards will be less responsive than their smaller counterparts (because they are inherently more stable), but they won´t necessarily be slower. I would recommend the DU Pure Ride 141. That board has, at the very least, the type of design that sounds right for you, so it´s a good starting point for your selection.
