Picked it up last night. Can't wait to get it on the water Saturday. Makes the Excursion look small! <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/449596.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/449597.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/449598.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/449599.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/449600.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/449601.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/449602.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/449603.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/449604.jpg" alt="Upload">

We want pictures of the wake!!!!!! <BR> <BR>You might want to think about getting a semi to pull the boat now.... Only a suggestion. <BR> <BR>Nice looking boat. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by dabell on May 17, 2007)

very nice

bocephus 05-17-2007 9:46 AM

Is that a light in the back left of the boat, beneath the swim platform? Cool.

dabell 05-17-2007 9:47 AM

Yes it is a light.

turbonine 05-17-2007 9:50 AM

Can definately feel the extra weight on the RZ4 compared to my old Wakesetter. I think the RZ4 is going to make that 7.3 diesel work a little harder.

timmyb 05-17-2007 10:04 AM

Is the light new or something? My RZ2 has it but so did most of the boats at my dealership, just curious since everyone keeps asking what it is.... <BR> <BR>Hey does your trailer have the cool LED's that run the inside length of the trailer and come on when you back it into the water (and headlights are on)? I'm dying to check that out on mine.

boss210 05-17-2007 10:19 AM

very nice boat, enjoy your summer

helinut 05-17-2007 10:21 AM

Hmmm.. I know nothing about Tige boats, but the RZ4 doesn't even show up on their website. Is it that new or do they not update their site? <BR> <BR>Very nice looking boat!

turbonine 05-17-2007 10:24 AM

"Hey does your trailer have the cool LED's that run the inside length of the trailer and come on when you back it into the water (and headlights are on)? I'm dying to check that out on mine. <BR>" <BR> <BR>I have know idea. I will look for that. Is your trailer an Extreme to? <BR> <BR>I am finding all sorts of cool little features that Tige has put on.

evil0ne 05-17-2007 10:26 AM

It's a late edition to the 2007 lineup and some are saying they're even going to start shipping as 2008's (unconfirmed). It is a 24' RZ model. Big difference, besides the extra 2', is a lockable rear facing seat behind the driver which you can see in the 5th picture. Also, cupholders in the bow are above the bow cushion now.

dabell 05-17-2007 10:26 AM

Tige hasn't put the RZ4 on the website because the boat is a 2008. I would think it would be on soon but I don't work for Tige either.

turbonine 05-17-2007 10:27 AM

My hull is stamped as 2008.

timmyb 05-17-2007 11:05 AM

My trailer is an EZ Loader "Illusion" but they seem to copy everything that Extreme does so I figured Extreme must have that as well. LOL!

innov8 05-17-2007 11:09 AM

Very nice boat!!

turbonine 05-17-2007 11:18 AM

I can't wait to get the 4 Wetsounds Pro 60s in along with the sub and the 3 Hifonics amps I have.

dabell 05-17-2007 11:22 AM

You should also see what Wetsounds does with their RZ4 when they get it.... The owner's mind is already thinking what he can do and enhance upon the boat that they have for sale. He did say it was going to be sick!!!!!!!! (I got this from another thread and summarized it. So, don't shoot the messenger if it is wrong) <IMG SRC="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" ALT=":-)" BORDER=0>

cbk 05-17-2007 11:31 AM

Sweet!

psudy 05-17-2007 11:56 AM

Just picked it up and already cleaning the crap out of it!(303 bottle in pic) Ahh, boat ownership! Very nice boat.

turbonine 05-17-2007 1:52 PM

Ironic isn't it. New boat and the first thing I do is wipe it down with 303!

dabell 05-17-2007 1:54 PM

Just wait until the first scuff or scratch mark.... Time for a new boat...... he he he <BR> <BR>Have fun with it and take it out this weekend. <IMG SRC="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" ALT=":-)" BORDER=0>

jusstty 05-17-2007 2:04 PM

Nice!! Like the colors. Are those Rockford fosgate speakers?

turbonine 05-17-2007 3:24 PM

Fosgate Power 6.5" powered by a Fosgate Punch 450.4. Pretty nice for a stock stereo. The guys at Tige AZ know how to do it right.

dabell 05-17-2007 3:34 PM

Haven't you taken that thing our yet???? Oh, too busy talking on this thread.... We want to see picture of the boat in the water and then the wake (find someone that can throw a Roast Beef off the wake or some type of trick)

tshmitty 05-17-2007 3:50 PM

Jason, <BR> <BR>Something off the topic, but I have the same excursion, but I can't find a nice wheel package to go with it. Where did you find the wheels on the excursion???? Do you have a brand name? And what size do you have on yours? <BR> <BR>Thanks!

joe1975 05-17-2007 4:57 PM

Wow. That is a nice combo bro. That boat is rated for 17 peeps and something like 2400lbs...CONGRATULATIONS!!!! <BR> <BR>I want one!

tanner 05-17-2007 5:06 PM

Damn that thing is massive!!!! It looks longer than my 24V for some reason.

turbonine 05-17-2007 10:05 PM

Chris, <BR> <BR>Wheels are from Discount Tire. They are 20" MB's. I think the model is named Gunner. The tires are 305/50R20, Falkens. The tires are having tread seperation(Firestone problem) right now because they can't handle the overall load of the Excursion. I am trying to get some new tires through Discount Warranty. I think I want Nitto Terra Graplers

pc_sledge 05-18-2007 5:37 AM

Sick boat. Reminds me of my X-45, the shear size takes some getting used to. Sac it out and lets see some wake shots. Sweet ride, congratulations.

whtlghtn49 05-19-2007 2:43 PM

Wow, what a setup! Congrats! I hope it does well for you! Keep us updated with some pics and info about how it is in the water! That thing looks like a beast!

turbonine 05-19-2007 8:20 PM

Here is the wake. <BR> <BR>Conditions - Subpar with tubers. Big lake with lots of undulations in water. <BR>Ballast of about 1200 <BR>6 people <BR>70 ft rope <BR>Wakeboarder is 6'1" 200lb <BR>23 MPH. It felt a little slower more like 21 - 22. Will need to get a GPS out and calibrate it. <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/450448.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/450449.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/450450.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/450451.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/450452.jpg" alt="Upload">

dabell 05-19-2007 8:29 PM

That looks like a nice wake for the first time out. Does look like some dialing in needs to be done but not much. Thanks for the pics.

talltigeguy 05-19-2007 9:01 PM

Very nice, Turbo!

turbonine 05-19-2007 9:09 PM

It will need some dialing in. I think for the RZ4, it will favor more weight in the rear or center. Water was difficult today, hard to get dialed in. <BR> <BR>Forgot in my previous setup post <BR> <BR>Taps was at 4/5. <BR> <BR>Going now to tigeowners.com to post same pics. Will do 1040x780 instead of 640x480 over there.

whtlghtn49 05-19-2007 11:29 PM

Hey, Jason, just a question. I've researched those Tiges quite a bit, and supposedly the "8" setting on the TAPS throws the biggest wake. However, all the Tige owners say they set their TAPS to 4-6 when boarding. Why is that?

turbonine 05-20-2007 12:28 AM

At 8 the wake crashes over and you don't get a good clean lip. Same scenario as if having to much weight in the back and not enough in the front.

dabell 05-20-2007 8:46 AM

Well, I will have another outlook at this. For instance, if TAPS is set at 4/5 and you have 1200 lbs of ballast, then that could be the ideal weight for the boat but if a new boarder starts out, the wake needs to be decrease so you take out some ballast and start at the same TAPS level. During the boarders set, they decide that they would like to have a little bigger weight. You might not have the capability to add more ballast weight but you can definitely change the size of the wake via the TAPS. Now you might have the TAPS at 6 or 7. TAPS helps to dial in a wake and allows the boat's butt to sink into the water to produce a bigger wake. <BR> <BR>Does this make sense????

whtlghtn49 05-20-2007 5:03 PM

Yeah, thanks David B. I've always admired the Tige boats for being a 2-in-1 water sports boat. I know a lot of people on here bash them and proclaim other boats better, but in my family, we both slalom and board, so I've always thought that would be my choice if I somehow kicked over a large stone and found a $50k bill!

skier12 05-20-2007 5:43 PM

Someone please tell me, Is there any difference between Tige's TAPS and Supra's Wakeplate? <BR> <BR>Tige seems to rave how it can produce both a slalom wake and a wakeboard wake, but Supra only says its used to shape the wakeboard wake. <BR> <BR>Is it me or did both companies just put a trim tab on and come up with a cool name? <BR> <BR>PS - I'm not bashing either just wondering if theres really a difference.

lespaul 05-20-2007 5:45 PM

Sweet boat man I wish I could afford something that nice.

05-21-2007 10:26 AM

Kyle, it comes down to marketing all boat companys do it in their own way.

dabell 05-21-2007 10:37 AM

Kyle L. <BR> <BR>I can't comment of the Supra Wakeplate since I have no knowledge of that. <BR> <BR>The Convex hall and TAPS go together. Both are patented and work together to produce the wake. IMO the TAPS plate and Supra's Wakeplate probably work to help make a wake bigger but do it differently. The TAPS alone does NOT make the wake bigger but as I said, allows the butt to sink into the water more.

h2omantx 05-21-2007 10:43 AM

Great Boat! <BR> <BR>The Supra wake plate changes the shape, ramp, peak and size of the wake based on speed and weight in the boat. It gives me the ability to dial in the wake to a rider's preference.

dabell 05-21-2007 11:04 AM

Well, that sounds like the are very similar to me.....

johnny_defacto 05-21-2007 7:42 PM

I ride my taps at 8 without the wake getting washy... it just takes more weight in the bow, that also helps to harden the wake. I can also put the taps down to 2 or 3 for friends and the wake is still good, just a bit smaller. <BR> <BR>That wake looks real good... post some pictures once you get it dialed in and on some good water. <BR> <BR>congrats.

skier12 05-21-2007 7:56 PM

Thanks for the responses guys, sounds like there are some minor differences. <BR> <BR>BTW great looking boat/yacht Jason, I really like the look of the RZ2 and 4

watsoc 05-21-2007 10:19 PM

Jason - Are those pics from Roosevelt? Nice boat and the Tige owner here in Phoenix is a nice guy.

turbonine 05-21-2007 10:30 PM

Yes it is Roosevelt.
