Looks nice alan, can't wait to get mine. thanks for the info on the speakers.

madchild1 11-10-2006 12:51 AM

where's that sub? behind the driver's seat?

alans 11-10-2006 4:13 AM

Yep, that is the factory sub that comes standard in the B-52 V23s. The factory setup is really nice in the MBs. Clarion CMD4, 6 channel JL audio Marine Amp, 4 channels go to the 4 Clarions, and 2 channs are bridged to the Polk sub.

tonality 11-10-2006 10:10 AM

What did you use to mount the amps to the side wall like that? That's a pretty nifty spot for em, but i'd be worried about seeing one of the screws come out the other side!

madchild1 11-10-2006 1:06 PM

yeah, but is it right behind the driver's seat?

acurtis_ttu 11-10-2006 1:15 PM

Tony, I doutb it's mounted directly to the wall. There is proabbly another board ont eh wall the amps are mounted to, it actually looks liek the amps are on soem sort of rails? (wires run underneath)

tonality 11-10-2006 1:39 PM

Yeah, that's what i figured, but i'd like to know if they did it without fabbing up a wall, i'd like to put mine there.

MadChild, yeah, it is a wall like in the supras, the sub fires directly into the driver's area from behind him.

Who would allow an install to be done that way in a new boat. Doesn't appear to be a whole lot of thought put in to details.Love the boat though.

alans 11-10-2006 7:47 PM

Please elaborate DAVE, The customer did the install himself to save a lot of money and I think he did a really nice job...

Oh, i'm sorry. In that case he did a good job. I thought a shop did it. There are more elegant places in that boat to install equipment than where it the amplification was placed and certainly a much more efficient to run signal from right to left as opposed to running power from left to right. It's what I do for a living so I am a little judgemental...again I apologize.

slideinsidwayz 11-13-2006 11:19 AM

shack- that looks pretty cool. are you happy with the memphis? Im told they are pretty loud. Did neptunes do that sys?

boardshack 11-13-2006 12:53 PM

This system was installed by Michael Hughes for one of our customers and It just did get completed, so I'll let you know when he brings it by the shop and I get to check It out.
