- - Recommended Tire Replacement for 2003 Z7 (http://www.wakeworld.com/forum/showthread.php?t=519268)

Long story short I've got a 2003 Z71 that last year I replaced the Dueler A/T's with a new set of Dueler A/T and I'm unhappy with their excessive wear.

Tires get balanced and rotated every 6k and the truck has been aligned on schedule. I'll probably make sure my drop pitman arm and ball joints are in good shape and have it aligned again. Shocks are good.

Any recommendations for replacement tires in a 265x75R16? I'm looking at Cooper Discovery H/T as well as a BFG Long Trail... Michelin's are just too darn expensive.

I'm looking for the same thing, but my z71 has 17's stock.

They have GoodYear ATS now, but are spendy to replace.

I got a bid of $130 per mounted/balanced and installed for the Cooper Discovery H/T's... My Dueler A/T's that I bought I think were in the $135 range. not to bad compared to the $165 per the BFG...

I didn't read to many good things about the ATS from Goodyear.

Toyo Open Country AT. I have had BFG and many others. Running the Toyo Open Country Mud Terrains now. Best tire I have ever had. They last a lot longer than any other AT or MT's I have had.

I've got the Toyo's as well great tires, much better than the BFG's I've ran in the past. Check out the Procomp X-terrains to, those are nice. I think the procomps last a little longer.

I just bought a set of Nitto Terra Graplers for my F-150 (265/75/R17 which is also the stock size on a Z71 Tahoe/Suburban) and they are killer. I had several friends who had these on their trucks before I bought mine who had very high regards for them. I paid $115 a piece mounted balanced plus tax.

Another vote for Toyo OC AT.
I have 45k miles towing as much as 10k lbs. These tires will still last another 15k miles easy. I use size 325 18 on an Excursion. Also TOYO D rating is higher than the stock tire E rating. (weight limit)

goodyear slient armor wranglers are the best tire for that truck I have them on a 03 tahoe very good performing tire.
