I just added a photo gallery of the new LF bindings as well as a better explanation (I hope) of how they work at <a href="http://www.wakeworld.com/news/2003/liquidforce6.asp" target="_blank">http://www.wakeworld.com/news/2003/liquidforce6.asp</a>. Let me know what you think of the new bindings. <BR> <BR>We also got some pics of a bunch of their new boards and their new wakesurfing rope in the same photo gallery.

hlboatsnboards 09-06-2003 7:39 PM

This new LF stuff looks sic!!! I simply cannot wait to get them in and try them all out. I think I am excited about the new mounting and also the new material they are using! Should be a killer year for LF!! <BR> <BR>Bill

xtremebordgurl 09-06-2003 7:54 PM

It looks awesome, defenitly some snowboard influence there but I think its great that they're giving it a shot. I don't know why anyone hasn't done it sooner. Kudos 2 LF!

absolutofft 09-06-2003 7:58 PM

I bet those transits will be like 400 bux street price

blabel 09-06-2003 8:09 PM

The design looks killer. I can't wait to try them.

blabel 09-06-2003 8:16 PM

Dave will these work on other boards?

cramey 09-06-2003 8:19 PM

Supposedly they are like snowboard bindings, where they rotate around a plastic base, and will be displayed in stores in a boot/bindings combination like snowboard bindings are... <BR> <BR>they better work with other boards, i couldn't imagine they wouldn't be.

fuel 09-06-2003 8:50 PM

What happened to the Team bindings?

wakepaula 09-06-2003 11:09 PM

Humm, they kind of look like something I would see on the "Jettsons" feet. I suppose if LF is looking towards the future then they are headed in the right direction. I'll have to keep an open mind <IMG SRC="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" ALT=":-)" BORDER=0>

kristian 09-06-2003 11:11 PM

I was all excited about the team bindings <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/sad.gif" border=0> <BR>The Transit/minx do look cool, but we'll have to wait and see how practical they really are.

vandal 09-06-2003 11:25 PM

The new bindings just look plain stupid. They look like some aborted version of the Collective Developements bindings and the CD's completely sucked. The newest version of their older bindings look alright though.

sdboardr99 09-07-2003 12:07 AM

I had a chance to take a look at them in person today and also talk to Scott (the designer) about the changes. I'm really impressed with them and can't wait to try them. And I'm really looking forward to checking out the wakesurfing rope too! <BR>

wakeworld 09-07-2003 9:27 AM

Actually, the MSRP on those is pretty reasonable as follows. I assume street prices would be under $300. <BR> <BR>Transit - $349 <BR>Minx - $329 <BR>Alpha - $249 <BR>The rest of the models were reduced by about $20 each. <BR> <BR>Yes, they do fit on all boards. The larger plate has a standard set of binding bolt holes.

habersham 09-07-2003 4:12 PM

Do you know the MSRP's on next year Liquid Force wakeboards? Do you know if there will be another color for the Ultra's?

reefhunter 09-07-2003 8:29 PM

I got a sneak peek at the Triple crown. Watson let me check out his ultras. The material inside is very cool.

dogbite 09-07-2003 8:32 PM

Who cares about these new bindings. They are going to fall apart just like all the Liquid Force bindings I have had to warranty. I hate bindings. You shouldn't be tied down to something by your feet. How can you swim or jump away from your board if you can't

wakeboardjo 09-07-2003 8:36 PM

Sounds like a certain someone's a wakeskater! <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/wink.gif" border=0>

reefhunter 09-07-2003 8:46 PM

chill dogbiter bindings dont kill people, people kill people.

wakeworld 09-07-2003 10:49 PM

I don't have the MSRP on the boards yet, but hopefully we'll have that up by the end of the week or early next week. I'll check on the other Ultra color as well.

melvinator 09-08-2003 7:02 AM

Speaking of new Liquid Force stuff, did anybody notice the bindings Kyle Schmidt is wearing in the how-to section of this months WBM? They are Grey Ultras with laces on the back?????? Anybody have the scoop on these, custom.......

wicomico 09-08-2003 7:31 AM

I'm skeptical. they just seem too big and prob a bit heavy. but i guess tech. speaking, they are on the right track. i'm happy w/ my set up now so i'm in no hurry to try them. i'm happy about new board graphics. i bought a balance even though the graphics are the ugliest i think i've ever seen. <BR> if they are nylon and neoprene water obsorbtion is a major concern.

thane_dogg 09-08-2003 9:54 AM

Timothy - I see in your profile you've listed that you have a wakeboard but you don't have bindings. Are you still saving your allowance for those? <BR> <BR>Vandal - I'll agree that the bindings do look a little strange but I'm sure that I'll be used to them after a while. <BR> <BR>Matthew - those bindings are custom. I took notice to those too. I'm pretty sure he just took the lace system from the exo's and added it to the overlay of the ultra. Pretty sweet idea if you ask me. He was always known to ride the exo's without tightening the laces up anyway. He just likes a real loose boot. <BR> <BR>Will - <i>""The outside of these boots look more like a running shoe now, with wraps made of a nylon-<font color="ff0000">looking</font> material with sewn on graphics that have a ton of potential for making the boots look killer."</i> They're a lot smarter than that. They've been doing this wakeboarding thing for a few years. <BR> <BR>Josh - BAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/rofl.gif" border=0>

vandal 09-08-2003 12:54 PM

Thane D...........I am pretty sure I'll have tried a pair on soon enough as well..........regardless of the looks. I just have never had the best of luck with LF bindings.

rootc 09-08-2003 1:07 PM

Finially some serious binding innovation by LF. Die had HL fan, but these bindings look to have some serious potential. Anyone want to buy my 03 Parks for $349.00?

wicomico 09-08-2003 1:11 PM

thane- i'm sure they are smarter than me. but i can vouch that my 7yrs of surfing. the whole point of a NEOPRENE wetsuit is to HOLD water and let body temp warm that. so unless l.f. has come up w/ some sick new neoprene that doesn't obsorb... well, i'd have to see it. i'm sure they thought about weight, i just personally don't like extra anything-weight, fabric, give me ultra suctions and i'll be happy. more gizmos = more stuff to break. <BR>i want bindings made out of velour or velvet, it'd be like a porno for my feet. ahhhh... <BR>

thane_dogg 09-08-2003 1:40 PM

Will - I'm just like you, I love the ultra sucs, but the ultra sucs are gonna have that same neoprene lining. It's probably the sick new closed-cell neoprene that HL has been using in the core of their jacket ropes. It floats and it doesn't absorb any water.

hippie_killa 09-08-2003 3:30 PM

Thane is correct about those bindings. I went to the wakeboard camp a couple of months ago. Kyle said he took exo laces and had someone sew them. He said that they were really good.

veganx 09-08-2003 3:35 PM

Will, you are almost right about how a wetsuit works. They do hold water against your skin. You're body does warm this water up, and that warm water is what keeps you warm. However, the neoprene doesn't absorb water, it just holds it next to you. If it absorbed water neoprene dry suits wouldn't work. <BR> <BR>I'm not a huge LF fan, but these bindings look nice! I'm a bit skeptical of their durablility. There are a lot of stiches going through the rubber on the overlays. <BR> <BR>

wicomico 09-09-2003 6:17 AM

bird- you said it. lot of stitches... even w/ all double stitching, things break. every pair of bindings i've ridden w/ a lace or velcro have broken. luckily, i think lf bindings last longer than hyperlite ones. <BR> also, wet suits are different than dry suits. i dont feel like researching details of wetsuits. i'll just withdrawl that statement and just say "neoprene concerns me" that way, you guys can stop hurting my feelings over material characteristics. i need a tissue...

susieq 09-09-2003 9:33 AM

FINALLY...someone has made a binding designed for a woman's feet.

mattbob 09-09-2003 10:11 AM

Now they should design a jacket for women that is more form fitting and has an underwire. <BR>There just isn't enough cleavage in wakeboarding. <BR> <BR>I think I'll be asking for a pair of the transits for christmas. <BR>

griffdizzle 09-09-2003 1:14 PM

will the new mounting system work on hyperlite boards?

reefhunter 09-09-2003 1:28 PM

Thats a great Idea Push up Womens' life vest.

sdboardr99 09-09-2003 7:32 PM

Yes, the new bindings are designed to work on any board. <BR>

kristian 09-09-2003 10:17 PM

I might just be me misunderstanding, but what is the point of having an easy adjust angle on a high end binding? How many times have you changed the angle of you bindings this year? <BR>I can understand for a low end binding where alot of people are going to use it, but most people find a stance they like and stick to it, so being high end only one person is really going to use it.

kristian 09-09-2003 10:30 PM

No need, I figured it out, thanks to a reread of daves article.

custom88 09-14-2003 2:04 PM

How much will the new Ultra Suctions cost?
