Wake the Line Qualifier at Hydrous
 

This weekend is the first qualifier at Hydrous in Allen, TX. I can't wait to watch what people throw down trying to qualify, and the set up looks pretty tasty. Haven't seen a list of riders yet, though.

After seeing some practice, the quarter pipe tricks being thrown this year are light years from last and what I've seen on videos. The progression of people hitting the quarter pipe is incredible. I guess I'm just excited, as this is to me where the future of "wakeboarding" competitions will go, and the top riders will start emerging from.

For those in the Dallas area, I hear there's a beer garden for spectators, as well as many other activities planned including riding the main cable if you like.

Not to be a debbie downer but that setup looks pretty weak in my opinion for a wake the line qualifier, a mediocre size kicker, a beginner slider, and the quarter pipe. Basically the guys that have been spending time hitting the quarter piper will advance. That kicker doesn't look like it's got enough juice to really let the big boys do their thing.
