Debating between Vibe and Kink
 

Okay so I am debating between getting a 2010 142 Vibe or a 2009 134 Kink, what are the advantages and disadvantages when comparing the too?

You couldn't have picked two more opposite boards. The Vibe is a hybrid Flex board. If you haven't ridden one, or if your edging skills are less than excellent, you might have a hard time. I would try a flex board first. If this isn't an option, the Kink is a safer bet. It's an all around great board.

:D yeah i figured they were different. I really was looking at the Kink originally but I have some one offering me the Vibe at $300 brand new, so that is the reason I was thinking about it.

why a 142 and a 134? Pretty big size difference.
142 is pretty much for the average size guy making a 134 way too small.
And a 134 would generally be for a pretty small guy/child/girl making the 142 way to big (if thats possible, haha)

the 142 was being offered to me, as for the kink at a 134, my first board was a 134 so I figured that it would be good to stick with, I weight about 135 at 5'6" if you think I should get something bigger for the kink let me know I Plan on making my order this weekend

I would of stuck someone like you on a 136-137 but the Kink doesn't come in that size so I guess the 134 would be the way to go.

IMO it's always been my thing (with many others) to ride a big a board as you're comfortable with. If you can give the Vibe a go and if you're ok with the size run with it. It is a fun board. Wouldn't buy anything without giving it a go first.

what about the 140 kink?
