Congrats dude. Make sure you get enough sleep now and take things easy while you have the chance. Once that child comes, you'll be up a night and stressed...

However, Being a FATHER is priceless......

ttrigo 05-10-2007 11:53 AM

On the flip side...Mine began sleeping 8-10 hours a night at 3 months old.

ditto to that statement. we have to wake her up at like the 9-10 hour mark. thats why I dont want a second one!

nuckledragger 05-10-2007 12:01 PM

Kids are the best. Get your sleep now because mine didn't sleep through the night until 7mos. After that point, it was all fun and games. Enjoy it while you can.

denverd1 05-10-2007 12:15 PM

gmarkham1 05-10-2007 12:45 PM

In must be in the water. We are due with our first (son) in about 8 weeks. Super stoked! Congrats Mike!

wakedad33 05-10-2007 2:36 PM

Congrats Mike, Lizzy & JB too, looks like we have a bunch of little rippers on the way.

otiswunguy 05-10-2007 2:50 PM

That's great Mike. You will get used to sleeping less so it's no big deal. I wouldn't give up being a father for the world. My daughter is almost 2 and sleeps through the night 4-5 days a week. We just found out we have another one on the way as well. When do you find out if it's a boy or a girl? I am really rooting for a boy this time. Sorry if I stole your thunder. It looks like a few of us kept ourselves busy in the off season.

lizzyb 05-10-2007 2:57 PM

You usually find out around 20 weeks, but some 3-D ultrasounds claim to be able to tell at 16.

K.B.C. 05-10-2007 3:03 PM

congrats mike

jarrod 05-10-2007 3:14 PM

Buff! Congrats dude!

People say the second one will be pay back for the angel we have now (if we have a 2cd). My wife says its only fair since she had the worst pregnancy ever.

Anyone have a wife that was sick every day for nine months? My wife drove to work with a barf bag every day. I know TMI....

lizzyb 05-10-2007 3:26 PM

I had REALLY bad nausea to the point I had to be put on prescription medication. Now that I'm winding down the first trimester though, it's not so bad.

Poor Leigh. With a pregnancy like that, I doubt I'd consider a second.

jarrod 05-10-2007 3:31 PM

Yeah, leigh was on the same meds.

Funny thing is, Liz, she's still down to have an other. The joy is worth the pain. It's that awesome.

Glad you're feeling better.

bond 05-10-2007 3:38 PM

Congrates - we are expecting #2 in October. Our first she never got sick onec, this go my wife has been sick every moring from the get go.

lizzyb 05-10-2007 3:54 PM

J - Did they work for her? Sad part is, having an HMO.. it took forever for me to finally get them and once I did, I never needed them again.

The fact that Gracie is such a dream is probably the main reason she wants another. I can't blame her! She's such a doll.

Hopefully we'll see you guys soon.

End highjack.

peterc4 05-10-2007 9:38 PM

Congrats! Best thing to ever happen to us is my boys.

oaf 05-10-2007 10:06 PM

That is great news!

Your world is about to change!!!!! Boys and Girls are very different and I was lucky to have the girl first because if the boy came first he might have been and only child. Lets just say the terrible two's is the truth with boys not so much with the girls

mkperceptions 05-10-2007 11:36 PM

congrats, and for all of you who's kids wont go to sleep, run the vacuum cleaner it works

pc_sledge 05-11-2007 4:44 AM

sbt3 05-11-2007 6:09 AM
