Thought I'd start a thread for all this seasons pictures. James on his new 'Bullet'. Check the orientation of the board and there isn't a rope photoshop'ed out! All real. He rode this one out, too.

Tell James he needs to stop making the rest of us look so bad

James looks like he belongs on the Inland Surfer poster...move over Mark Sher!

bigshow 04-19-2006 8:49 AM

You guys are only going to encourage him to work harder and make us look even worse!

I keep hoping by riding with James all the time, some of his skill will rub off on me - it doesn't.

Jeff,
I am sure that he got his talent from you. If you were 30 years younger you would be doing the same things.

Dennis! You just want your board finished, sweet talking me ain't gonna make the resin cure faster!!!!!! Thanks for the additional pic's of James.

Jeff. I want to get some decent pictures of us riding. I like the perspective of your photos. Where are you taking your pictures from? Thanks

dennish 04-19-2006 7:11 PM

Marc,
These pictures were taken by my daughter. She takes them from the back corner of the boat right above the sundeck.
Jeff,
Think about the gene pool and what you could have done with those young legs. How is my board coming tonite?

dennish 04-19-2006 7:18 PM

Here's proof that James got it from Jeff. Notice the same body position. Just NO AIR.

Marc, Dennis' daughter Bree is the expert, see if Dennis can get some pointers for you, also Sean - CASkimmer is a professional photog, as was Ed Geary - Ed g, one of them may be able to give you pointers.

Dennis - it's more done that it has been!

dennish 04-19-2006 7:22 PM

oops, guess you want the picture to compare.

I see a major snafu in that photo!

If you are trying to make us believe that King Kong could surf, shouldn't he be wearing the monkey head too?

_____________________

I'd love to offer suggestions on shooting wakesurfing photos, but if you are into digital photography, I defer to Sean.

I taught Photography at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh but never kept up with the latest photo technology. I'm still a "silver image" guy.

Have any understanding of "depth of field"?

(Message edited by Ed G on April 20, 2006)

Not quite 4:00AM and the whole family is ready to hit the airport for Florida. Land of 8 foot deep lakes and alligators along the shore. Wish us luck!!!!
