I want to wear shoes while i wakeskate so i get as close of a feel of my skateboard as i can, dont really like the feel of riding barefoot. But my ? is can i just wear my skate shoes: Globe rms3's in the water?? Will they get too heavy when wet?? I Dont mind them not drying fast, im only gonna use them for wakeskatin. Thanks to all who reply.

my brother uses skate shoes when we wakeskate, but i just use my nikes, they both work fine for both of us, i have a foam top, not sure if that makes a difference to you, i guess i would wear skate shoes if i had them, but i dont' skateboard..so..yeah hope it helps.

Also anyone ever have their shoe fall off after a bad crash and dreadfully sink to the bottom of the lake????

I've seen people who have drilled holes in their skate shoes. Just drill in the soles and that will help with some of the draining. Oh, and remember to take your foot out of the shoe before drilling!

Most shoes float, plus why would you ride with your shoes loose, then your at a disadvantage. I mean its hard enough to move your foot wakeskating let alone having loose shoes. Just tie em up.
