So, I am a huge fan of my Transcend. The pop and the landings are fantastic. Lately I just feel so slow riding it. I ride at 24-25mph at 75 ft. Any suggestions on my next setup?

If you want fast go lf shane or lyman

jjakober 09-09-2008 7:05 AM

O'Brien Natural, Coda, or wait for the Decade. All these boards have the Delta Base which greatly reduces drag and that slow feeling!

09 Transcend coming soon too.

What size are you riding?

salsajs3030 09-09-2008 7:43 AM

I felt the same way on my LF Substance...rode the Lyman thinking it would be fast, it was still way too slow. Rode the O'Brien Natural and it was awesome...exactly what I was looking for. I would 100% go with the Natural, no questions asked.

do you ride it finless.

jjakober 09-09-2008 7:53 AM

JR,

To whom and what board are you asking about?

romes 09-09-2008 8:11 AM

shane and if he rode the transcend finnles

jarrod 09-09-2008 9:16 AM

I think I know what he is getting at. For me, boards seem to ride faster with the fins removed. My Transcend feels fast compared to other boards I have ridden, but I have never tried the Transcend with fins.

I just stepped up to a 142 Transcend also, which feels even faster.

wakebrdrnc 09-09-2008 10:52 AM

Mine is 142. So taking those tiny fins off makes a difference J-Rod? I'll try it this weekend.

nsolis220 09-09-2008 11:04 AM

it would there would be less drag. How much faster is the question.

wakebrdrnc 09-09-2008 1:46 PM

Guess Ill find out. Thanks J-Rod. I will let you know how it goes.

I would give a nod to the Natural. However, the Ibex rides pretty fast with a little more vertical pop.

I have the 142 Transcend and I have rode with and without the fins also. Big difference without the fins. I think the board feels faster and I think it releases off the wake better.

romes 09-09-2008 6:58 PM

its nice without the fins...sticky and slow to me with
