My Enzo sits on a lift at the marina all winter, with the ubiquitous gray mooring cover. After a couple of years, the cover is really looking bad with mildew, duck poop stains, etc. What is the best way to effectively clean a cover? (I did search to see if any old threads discussed this) The mildew is on both sides. I've thought about bringing my portable pressure washer with me, scrub it good (mildew cleaner?), then apply something like Thetford's canvas protector spray afterwards. Any better suggestions?

I used a commercial size washer at a laundromat. <BR>But don't put it in the dryer. Mine now fits my fishing boat.

i take mine to the cleaners, they put it in there giant machine and it cleans it good... around 75.00

I took mine to a car wash. Hosed it down on low pressure, sudsed it up, used the brush to scrub it, then hosed it all off. Then took it home &amp; re-waterproofed it.

I heard you don't want to wash it with detergent as it removes the water repellent properties. If you do choose to wash it with detergent then you need to apply something along the line of 303 water repellent (good stuff). I did this very same thing to my Supra OEM cover (heavy duck material) and it provided a bit of protection throughout the summer before it eventually gave way due to sun bleaching. You can get the 303 water repellent on line by the gallon. <BR> <BR>Good luck!
