Hey all,

My current boat cover is going to be retired after this year. I have been looking at new covers and am wondering how I go about getting a new cover adjusted to my boat (99 xstar). If I can get away with it I would rather not pay $500 on a cover, on the other hand I don't want to buy a new cover next year (i live in washington)I notice on ebay there are covers for 99 prostars I would of course have to get them fitted to my boat.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=452118981 3&category=26447

If anybody has gone through this your thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

We wasted a couple hundred bucks on mail order covers before getting a custom fitted cover made. I paid $1000 on a high quality full side sunbrella cover in a dark color to block UV. After 5 years of sitting outside the cover was still like and so was the boat under the cover. If your boat is in nice shape and if it stays outside a cover is an excellent investment. I am sure the cover paid for itself in terms of resale value.

Custom Sunbrella for around $700. Worth every penny!
