NorCal INT League Wakesurf Contest - results

We hosted the NorCal INT League Wakesurf Contest on the Mossdale Quarry Lakes yesterday and wanted to post up the results and some pitcures for folks. If you're wondering about the venue, it's just south of I-5 to the west of the 120 bypass. GREAT venue, for wakesurfing. It's 35 feet deep about 20 feet from shore, so we were able to pull right in front of the spectators. We pulled the event with our Supreme V226 and Mike Armstrong of Calibrated Wakesurfing was the chief (and only! :) ) judge. Big thanks to our sponsors Supreme boats, Inland Surfer, Flyboy Wakesurf, Wake Shredder Clothing, Cal Marine Sports, Towanza and of course the Paytons of the NorCal INT League. AND the Brown Family who allowed us to surf the lake.

Women's amateur podium

First - Judy Walker
Second - Cera Hinton her first wakesurfing contest.

Huge thanks to everyone that came out to the event, we sure hope you had a great time. Also to Mike Armstrong for doing judging duties all day, James Walker for driving everyone but himself, Judy Walker for your patience and managing the "dock mom" duties, everyone that stayed and helped Chuck Payton clean up, Sean Cummings and crew for their great announcing duties, and again Chuck and Linda Payton of the NorCal INT League for the opportunity!

It was a Great Event and lots of Fun!! Big thanks to the Walkers and all the others that had a hand in making this a Fun Day!!

The venue was awesome!! One of the Greatest things was the all sand beach everywhere that made for all day skimboard riding on the beach and every wave that came in from the boat!! Could have had another comp at the same time same place!!

Thank You All!!

Thanks Guys, wasn't that a fun event and man I love that venue! Right off the freeway and a private lake, 35 feet deep 20 feet from shore.

Thanks John for making the trek down for the event, really appreciate you taking the time and for helping us load the truck! :) Congrats on the cool wakesurf board you won!

Thanks Frank for being our backup and the kind words. Wasn't the skimming along the beach a hoot? At one point I think Sean was riding and watch Mikey Kozacek sort of skim out into deep water and do a face plant and then he started busting up - actually we all did because we were watching. :) Wakesurfing and land based skim contest, next time for sure! :)
