I have a 2006 Larson 180 se, i want to put a tower on it for two reasons, the main one is obviously more air for wakeboarding and two to be able to have racks and all those goodies, but ive talked to my dealer and a CC dealer and they both said that 7 out of 10 towers they do that the gel coat cracks... i would love to get an actual ski boat but i have a loan out on this one for a while. any ideas, or has any one had problems with towers and cracking?!?

make sure the mount anchors are large enough and if you check some of the older threads some guys have added fiberglass to the anchor`s to help with the added weight.

If they are properly mounted you will not have gelcoat cracks. Fiberglass in metal anchor plates on the bottom side under each mount.
