Does anybuddy know where I can get a fisheye lens for my JVC digital camcorder?

Sorry forgot to say the the lens size is a 40.5mm diameter.

Ebay if you want a cheap one. If you want the best get a Century brand online from B&H.

I tried some cheap ones(demon fisheye) and they are total garbage. You are gonna have to spend alot of money(unless you are lucky) to get good results. <BR> <BR>But ya, I wouldnt get anything but Century. <BR>

I tried demon fish eye and one other, I cant think of the name. They both got returned after 10 seconds of using them. The main problem was the "adapter" they used. You would have to zoom almost all the way in to get the adapter out of frame. they basically made 2 lenses for every size lens. That wasnt the only problem though. The you could barely even tell it was fisheyed with them on. The glass wasnt powerful(?) enough. basically, the cheap lenses gave about a 1% fisheye look. They didnt do anything. <BR> <BR>At NAB, I looked and Century optics stuff, and yes, they really worked. Of course they are proud of them. I think the quoted me around $700 for for one to put on my DSR. If you really want a good look, go for it. <BR> <BR>Personally, if you arent gonna spend the money for an Century lens, I think the next best way to get the effect would be in post-production. I think a filter/plugin would do just a good job as a cheap lens.

Cool. <BR> <BR>A low-cost option is the Kenko Fisheye .43x (which I purchased for my 1 ccd Sony PC-101.) It's not as nice as the century, but for $50 it's a good deal and it's a FULL zoom through (meaning it will keep focus at 100% zoom). a little trick i learned is to get a wide angle conversion lens, take off the top retaining ring, flip the glass over and put the ring back on... it will give you an inverted fisheye look... not 180 degrees, but more of the pincusion look. its an interesting image. its fun to play around with but its definitely not a fisheye. right now im getting a zenitar fisheye for my mini35 adapter i made, hopefully i will get some cool results since its a full frame lens.

i just got my demon fisheye lens (demonfisheyelens.com) in the mail. Its great! For $80 bucks you really cant got wrong.

hey i just found out the demon fisheye lens.com just came out with a 58mm fisheye lens for the Sony VX-2100 its on their website (demon fisheye lens.com)
