do420jc 08-29-2009 9:46 AM

Hey Joe I sent you a pm regarding tomorrow.

cccbuilders 08-30-2009 1:11 PM

My friend dave has a sanger v215 and transmission went out yesterday. any better places to take it to other that paradise or century?

wakeboardsam 08-30-2009 5:15 PM

Century is the best. If you can get the transmission out yourself I know a transmission shop that easily rebuild it. Getting it back in can be difficult. It is can be very hard to line back up. I use these when ever I am installing either a transmission or Vdrive: <BR> <BR><a href="http://www.victornet.com/subdepartments/Machinists-Jacks/281.html" target="_blank">Machinist's Jack</a> <BR> <BR>They make shaft and bolt hole alignment a snap!

asushredder 08-31-2009 11:23 AM

Anybody going out anytime soon? Im coming into the intermediate range riding. My hometown is sactown, CA but I got to asu and I have my board but dont know anyone that rides out here. Interested in meeting some people who shred so I could get out and ride to improve.

craigbrown 09-05-2009 3:59 PM

I'm looking for a wakeboard partner to share my boat with. Alternatively, I would also consider having somebody take over payments - serious inquiries only please. <BR> <BR>\image{E:\Users\Craig\Pictures\Wakeboarding\Bo atMedium.jpg} <BR> <BR>Also, I would like to get a group going for Saguaro wakeboarding on Sunday mornings at sunup – when the water is perfect. Please let me know. I can be a passenger or need reliable “passengers." <BR> <BR>The boat is a 2007 Tige 20v with ballast system. if any of you guys needs a third during the up coming week. hit me up, im off all next week. im good for the whole 9 yards gas, clean, drive, money etc. (602) 828-7246

wakeboardsam 09-08-2009 10:21 PM

Hey All, <BR>If any of you guys need a 3rd or even a 4th please take my crew out! I broke my leg and can't go out for at least 6 weeks (I can't board for like 6 months, but I'll be able to drive!). We trained Durty Curt how to hold the flag, fill the ballast, pull in the rope, drive a little, and clean the boat for over two years, he's top notch, pays his way, and is a good guy!! Lantz is also the BEST 2nd mate out there! I trust no one more when it comes to my boat (well maybe Century Marine) and having fun at the lake. Lantz is good at everything and basically keeps my but out of trouble! So someone please take these guys out! Love fest over!!

wakeboardsam 09-08-2009 10:27 PM

BTW, lots of other great people who usually ride on The Golden Calf will be looking for rides too! The girls are awesome! I'll post leg surgery pics tomorrow, screws and plates! <BR> <BR>Thanks! <BR>Ryan "I break bones" Bailey

itzon 09-09-2009 9:20 AM

broke your leg playing on the water or at work? just curious... i have a screw in my elbow, its the best. airports love me. i'm screwed for life!

wakeboardsam 09-09-2009 9:45 AM

I broke it wakeboarding... landed a huge backroll to revert wrong...

itzon 09-09-2009 10:31 AM

wakeandsnow27 09-09-2009 12:25 PM

Yaz, <BR>Does the walk through metal detector go off or just the wand? I have a plate and 6 screws in my forearm and have only had a DMV one go off, never an airport... just curious.

itzon 09-09-2009 12:36 PM

i never went off (lol) until after 9/11 and some/all the equipment got upgraded. now i'd say 1 of 5 trips it goes off both in the detector and hand held wand. i just look at’em and say “i have a screw” as he/see stare at my elbow (short sleeve shirt) all confused, trying to determine if he/she should call the manager… now i just have fun with it, but careful as they don’t like jokes at the airport anymore… 9/11 this Friday - RIP all – lets not forget! <BR> <BR>i'm afraid to ask what you did!

wakeandsnow27 09-09-2009 12:43 PM

haha...wow. <BR> <BR>Wands make mine go off, like I said, just the one walk through. <BR> <BR>Snowboarding- backside 180 on a big spine, came down a little of axis and put my left arm down. Sounded like a branch snapping, as friends near me heard it. Didnt come through the skin, but my arm looked pretty cool for a couple hours all crooked. <BR>Whats your war story? haha

itzon 09-09-2009 12:54 PM

so we have backroll to revert, backside 180,... i don't want to say... okay, i'll say - basketball in high school some 25 years ago. not as cool as doing some invert ha?! :-) yup, i'm that old. got my 8 y/o daughter boarding this summer! and let me tell you, it was beautiful! 6 y/o son wants to wait... you best not call me Daddy! :-) booohaahaa

wakeandsnow27 09-09-2009 2:31 PM

hahahaha. <BR> <BR>I didnt even know they had basketball back then yet alone screws... bwuahahahaha! I kid, I kid.

lemonhead 09-27-2009 10:44 PM

If anyone needs a 3rd or has some open room, I'll kill anyone you want if I can come ride. Ok maybe not kill but I'll send a real nasty email. Good for money, clean, driving etc. Just got my own board and looking to get better and have some fun on the lake even on the weekdays. My email is livinitup731 (at) yahoo.com

jlift 10-02-2009 9:59 PM

New to this board, I have a boat but its a 20' baysuck, i'm re-rigging it for wakeboarding this winter(tower, platform, wrap sitting, paint, and PP)but that won't be until next spring(money). I have my own gear and looking to be a third, I can drive, clean and pay for gas. Looking for lake pleasant people since I live in the west valley. Can defiantly do week days. Just looking to have fun, and thanks again.

stevev210 10-07-2009 5:29 PM

Anyone heading to Saguaro tomorrow or friday? Thinking about taking thursday and friday off work. I'll take my boat 05 x2, or I'll be a third.

durty_curt 10-08-2009 12:27 AM

Steve, hit me up if you need a third for either of those days. I'm open

wakeboardsam 10-11-2009 4:06 PM

You boat whore Durty! <BR> <BR>Steve, <BR>Durty is a damn good guy to have on the boat... I trained him to do almost everything!

craigbrown 10-11-2009 4:27 PM

Is anyone going to saguaro this upcoming Sunday morning real early, while the water is still nice. Looking to get out and "fly." I haven't been able to go out a lot this year, so it will be a real treat! <BR> <BR>I also just drastically reduced the price on my boat to sell it quicker. I'm taking a bit of a loss on it, but offering a special price for WakeWorld members: <a href="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/8/738896.html?1254619855" target="_blank">http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/8/738896.html?1254619855</a> <BR> <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/53686/740548.jpg" alt="Upload">

turbonine 11-13-2009 2:13 PM

Anyone know if main ramp still usable at Bartlett or are you having to shore launch now?

durty_curt 11-13-2009 7:39 PM

It's getting close but you can still launch off the ramp. 2nd dock is closed and as of right now the shore launching zone next to the main dock is marked off with no parking barriers

justalex 11-24-2009 2:35 PM

Hey guys here is a useful link for the weather at bartlet pleasant and saguaro <a href="" target="_blank"></a>

itzon 11-30-2009 9:28 AM

Hello All: <BR> <BR>Who does the maintenance on your boat? Looking for non-dealers. My source has retired... I'm trying to determine if I should do it myself or look for another person. Thank you in advance. <BR> <BR>p.s. Please don't blast me for posting here.

justalex 11-30-2009 11:06 AM

Did anyone make it out to bartlet this weekend are the ramps still open according to srp report there is 0 feet of watter left at the main ramp as of today is that true?<a href="http://www.srpwater.com/dwr/report.asp?TabName=WaterServices" target="_blank">http://www.srpwater.com/dwr/report.asp?TabName=WaterServices</a>

do420jc 11-30-2009 4:58 PM

The ramp was still open as of Friday.

wakeboardsam 11-30-2009 5:40 PM

Yaz, <BR>Just have Scott &amp; Tammy at Century do it! They are fair and do good work.

craigbrown 11-30-2009 6:30 PM

Sam, is that the one on Main and ValVista in Mesa? I've been meaning to bring by boat on by there. Do they have a reasonable hourly rate?

wakeboardsam 11-30-2009 10:09 PM

Yes, Century Marine on Main in Mesa. Century is a family owned business and they are in it for the long haul, three or four generations work there. Since they are in it for the long haul they work for repeat business. They care about the customer and it shows, they do good work at a reasonable price and pretty quickly too. I'm probably what you could call a pain in the butt customer, but they still treat me good. In my opinion, Century Marine is what boating is all about, friends and family and good times! As long as they will have me, I'll always have my boating needs met by them!

itzon 12-01-2009 5:22 AM

Tks for the input Sam

wakeboardsam 12-01-2009 4:07 PM

Yaz, <BR>It looks like you can get an 15% off or something or other if you do it this week... <BR> <BR><a href="http://centurymarine.com/2009/11/garage-sale/" target="_blank">http://centurymarine.com/2009/11/garage-sale/</a>

wakeboardsam 12-04-2009 5:30 PM

Anyone go the sale?

wakeandsnow27 12-07-2009 10:19 AM

no where else to vent. <BR>how the f is that Michigan is getting a cable park and AZ doesnt have one yet? <BR> <BR>absurd. Isnt wakeboarding big enough in our state to merit the investment? The land, i would think, would be cheaper than it's been in years. would be nice. I dont have the money, but what gives?

wakeboardsam 12-07-2009 10:33 AM

Ty, <BR>WATER is the problem!!! It's hard to get, and even harder to keep! Water is worth a fortune here in Arizona. With the amount of water that would be required to have good cable park a developer could build a nice lake community and make a heck of a lot more than they ever could on a cable park. If you really want a cable park the answer is with the City of Tempe. Develop a plan and have it built on Tempe Town Lake. That is the only way it will ever be built here in Arizona. Mesa Waveyard is dead and will NOT be built. Even in the real estate boom the only way it could be built was by making it an elite resort with timeshares, condos, etc... The other cable park that was planned in Casa Grande has gone bankrupt, we did the BK appraisal about a year ago. The demand isn't really there either. It might be with the people on here, but when school is session no one will be there. Heck, <a href="http://www.azcentral.com/business/articles/2009/09/02/20090902biz-bigsurf0903.html" target="_blank">Big Surf</a> is even closing after 41 years in business... <BR> <BR>Water is worth its weight in gold in the desert!

wakeandsnow27 12-07-2009 12:50 PM

hmmm.... <BR> <BR>So Tempe Town Lake it is! Seems like it could generate some income being so close to ASU. <BR>When you talk about water being expensive, you're referring to the cost to keep it full due to evaporation and other natural causes of it depleting? <BR> <BR>I've frequented a private lake way out in surprise a homeowner built in his "backyard". If he can do it, and personally eat the costs involved to maintain it, I cant imagine a city or town couldnt while charging at the same time. And I know, there's more too it with liability insurance, employees, etc... <BR> <BR>(Message edited by wakeandsnow27 on December 07, 2009)

wakeboardsam 12-07-2009 1:33 PM

Ty, <BR>Do a search for water rights and water law in Arizona. The property that you talk about in Surprise probably has a grandfathered well. It is also a residential property which is a totally different animal. <BR> <BR> <BR>Look up Hawley Lake, it might be possible up there, but it's pretty much pointless up in the cold... <BR> <BR><a href="; cd=6&amp;hl=en&amp;ct=clnk&amp;gl=us" target="_blank">,+Hawley+Lake,+fires&amp;cd=6 &amp;hl=en&amp;ct=clnk&amp;gl=us</a> <BR> <BR>(Message edited by wakeboardsam on December 07, 2009)

Went to the Century marine sale and got a few things, a couple banners, shirts, ect. Wanted to walk walk away with their demo SAN 230. Great deal, but alas no funds. Also scheduled a service, so we will see if they fix my mysterious no start when warm issue.

Anyone looking for a good deal on a 2007 MasterCraft X2 (45,500 with warranty still), I just put mine up for sale. That price should beat most that are posting the same boat on the Internet. With a new baby here, we don't use the boat as much as we want to and selling it until the kids get a little older. We would like to be boat free for a few years until they get a little older. <BR> <BR><a href="http://www.onlyinboards.com/Details.aspx?ID=818652" target="_blank">http://www.onlyinboards.com/Details.aspx?ID=818652</a> <BR> <BR><a href="http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/boa/1509823318.html" target="_blank">http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/boa/1509823318.html</a> <BR> <BR><a href="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/8/751525.html?1260810381" target="_blank">http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/8/751525.html?1260810381</a>
