Any suggestions on what is looking the best or riding the best this summer...Was looking at the x-1 or the 210 Nautique. Any thought guy's and girl's

05mobiuslsv 03-23-2009 1:19 PM

Oh boy here we go again.....<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/yawn.gif" border=0>

denverd1 03-23-2009 1:29 PM

Its better than... <BR> <BR>"should I buy a red x1 with 100 hrs, or a red x1 with 110 hrs? What do you think?"

wakedoctor 03-23-2009 1:52 PM

Just look directly across from the thread topic a use the search link. There is enough info there to write a small novel. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by WakeDoctor on March 23, 2009)

bill_airjunky 03-23-2009 1:54 PM

No kidding..... how about some background here swellbow? Like what are you going to ride behind it? How many people do you expect everyday? <BR> <BR>What area are you in? And what dealers are in your area?

sidekicknicholas 03-23-2009 2:01 PM

I would take the 210 over X-1 any day just for interior space

polarbill 03-23-2009 2:47 PM

Are we talking a new 210 or a 2006 and older. If it is the older 210 than you can pick either and have an amazing boat. A 2007 and newer 210 doesn't compare at all to an X1. You would want to compare it to an X15.

05mobiuslsv 03-23-2009 2:50 PM

I would take an X-15 over an X-1 anyday.

swellbow 03-23-2009 3:45 PM

Got ya guys... Yeah my bad. It is a brand new boat 2010 We have had 4 mastercrafts and pops is just ready to get another one. I just want to make sure it is the right boat. We wakeboard a few days a week along with waksurfing. We also have a poontoon boat and jet skis so this is a boat for riding. Also alot of wake surfing. It will sit on Lake Tulloch all summer. Thanks again for the help...

polarbill 03-23-2009 3:54 PM

X15 if you like to surf then. Nu Bu has experienced the surf wake with extra weight.

mhunter 03-23-2009 4:38 PM

210 great wakes doesn't need as much ballast better fuel economy and cost much less than a X15. If dad is a MC guy it won't matter that's what he will buy. <BR>Good luck

hatepain 03-23-2009 5:51 PM

Did you make a decision? Your profile says 210 TEAM...

swellbow 03-23-2009 6:15 PM

That is my boat of choice and the boat I prefer to ride on...

swellbow 03-23-2009 6:17 PM

I am demoing everything thursday morning and I will let you all know how it goes down..

saceone 03-23-2009 7:34 PM

tell us which color you picked! 210's look good in black ;) <BR>I kidddd.

zaneschwenk 03-23-2009 8:49 PM

Earth &amp; Ocean <BR> <BR>PM me if you want some opinions, I have ridden all the MC's all of the CC and Bu's too, I'd be happy to give you some insight on the differences, also not sure what year model MC you have currently but there are some major construction differences the = benefits to consider. PM me if you'd like. <BR> <BR>Zane Schwenk

mkrueger313 03-23-2009 9:44 PM

I bet Zane thinks you should buy a MasterCraft... just a guess though!!

wakeitnofakeit 03-23-2009 11:09 PM

OK, Just for fun demo a Wakecraft. I would just like to hear what you think.

swellbow 03-23-2009 11:11 PM

Who has a wakecraft in Sac. Or should we just ask Dve the Aussi to bring one to Folsom on Thursday morning... Also is there a dealer for Epic boats left in the Sacramento area...

wakeitnofakeit 03-23-2009 11:24 PM

I would call Dave. I am sure he can arrange something. Let me know if you need any contact info.

swellbow 03-23-2009 11:25 PM

You could send me his contact info so I do not need to hunt it down. Thanks Dan

wakeitnofakeit 03-23-2009 11:42 PM

The phone number is (209)357-7722. He usually answers the phone 90 percent of the time. If he doesn't it will be his son Paul. If you do not get a hold of him call me at (603)978-2052 and I will call his cell phone. I am not sure if he wants his cell phone number made public.

tampawake 03-24-2009 6:20 AM

I am sure Zane would be pro MC but that does not mean he can't explain the differences and also be very objective. I have an MC and can tell you what I like about the different brands not everyone is totally brand blind. Not everyone can get opinions from pro riders you got nothing to loose PM him.

mc4life 03-24-2009 6:40 AM

go with the boat u like the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

tj_in_kc 03-24-2009 7:14 AM

I would go with the 210 Nautique over Mastercraft anyday. Better quality, better customer service, firmer-rampier wake. <BR> <BR>Also, i like the tower on the new 210s better, very solid no rattle like the MC towers. <BR> <BR> <BR>p.s. i own a bu.

rbeckei 03-24-2009 8:29 AM

I agree with "Go big" and "tj" I would not waste my time with a wakecraft. 210 Nautique is a much better boat. It would be a step dowm. That is my .02 cents. enjoy what ever you get.

sinkoumn 03-24-2009 8:56 AM

^agreed, even though it's not Zane's problem, it would be sweet to see that guy get some help

aarond0083 03-24-2009 9:01 AM

[Puts Owner Goggles On] <BR> <BR>C'mon man, this is a no brainer. SAN 210 of course. <BR> <BR>[Takes Goggles Off} <BR> <BR>Really man, you need to go out and demo some boats to see which one you like the best.

swellbow 03-24-2009 11:45 AM

So I did PM Zane..Also as far as driving a few boats, Yes I think that is the best way to make an educated buying decision. It is a lot of money to just go buy one. It is also not my 1st Rodeo. I do know that Nautiques have some of the best quality in the industry and I would not put Wakecraft in that class yet. ALTHOUGH I m sure Dave makes a great boat.

wakeitnofakeit 03-24-2009 11:23 PM

I just ask that you take a ride.

innov8 03-25-2009 9:00 AM

I am a little bias myself, but I would go 210 over an x-1 all day every day. <BR>Have fun demoing the boats.

swellbow 03-25-2009 11:01 PM

So no more X-1 ... It is between the X-15 and the 210... Driving and riding behind both tomorrow morning... And Yes everyone Zanes info was helpfull. Thanks everyone

wakeitnofakeit 03-25-2009 11:09 PM

Just go for a ride on a wakecraft.

lifetimewarranty 03-25-2009 11:19 PM

What's a wakecraft?

wakeitnofakeit 03-25-2009 11:24 PM

lol

zaneschwenk 03-26-2009 5:11 AM

Have fun on the demo SWELLBOW!! <BR> <BR>The best part is you're getting to go out on the boat today....many will not...I will but many will not. HAHA anyway this was a very constructive post, I tend to avoid some of these conversations sometimes because it can become heated etc, but I was throughly impressed with everyone on this thread. It's nice to see the fellow WW participants helping each other out! <BR> <BR>Zane

rbeckei 03-26-2009 6:30 AM

Dan Dulong, Enough!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't push your crap. Listen to the writer of the Thread and try to give the writer advise on what he/she is asking about. <BR> <BR>Have a nice day

swellbow 03-26-2009 5:48 PM

So the demos were fun today... Rode behind both boats. Both have great wakes.Small with stock Ballast but great shape and fun. The X-15 was bigger and is rated for 14 people. I must say that I like the 210 better. But is smaller and only holds 10 people. Getting prices from both dealers as we speak... It will be a waiting game for now. We will see should make a decision tonight or tomorrow. Thanks again everyone

lifetimewarranty 03-27-2009 7:19 AM

Gotta love those types of "tough" decisions!

aarond0083 03-27-2009 8:09 AM

Good luck on your decision. Both are great boats and I am sure you'll be happy with whatever you end up with. <BR> <BR>What tower was is on the Nautique you are looking at? I just upgraded to a 2009 210 with a Titan. I think this is the best tower ever put on a wake boat. I am a Nautique guy and the latest MasterCraft tower was always my favorite... until I saw the Titan. It is super strong, flows with the line of the boat perfectly, and polished SS. The new spinners on the FCT-1 and FCT-2 are in the same league as MC too. Finally. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by aarond0083 on March 27, 2009)

innov8 03-27-2009 9:13 AM

210 is rated for 12 people and we have had 12 in a 210 before. <BR>Have fun on the water!!

swellbow 03-27-2009 9:27 PM

What year 210 is rated for 12 people? If you have a newer 210 rated for 12 people please post a pic of it so I can see why the one we demoed was only rated for 10.

aarond0083 03-27-2009 9:40 PM

I have a 2009 210. It is rated for 12. I'll post a pic for you tomorrow if you like.

swellbow 03-27-2009 9:43 PM

Yeah we are looking at an 08... Time to call the dealer and ask for the 09 now. What kind of price range was the 09 in... Yes Please post a pick of the 12 people plauqe is you can ... Thanks

joe_crawley 03-27-2009 11:05 PM

I've had 13 in my X1 on one occasion, talk about crowded. X1 wake is better and more consistent than the 210 wake, but the X15 beats them both. 210 is roomier than the X1. Get the X15 if you have the cash, otherwise get the 210 if you need the room or get the X1 if you need the wake. <BR> <BR>It'll be summer soon so you should try them both out and not rely on wakeworld opinions. >90% of the people on here have never ridden in all 3 and have very little insight into what you should do. <BR> <BR>EDIT: Saw you tested the 15 and 210, let us know which one you get. <BR> <BR> <BR>(Message edited by joe_crawley on March 27, 2009)

swellbow 03-28-2009 8:22 AM

Thanks Joe... We have been riding for more then 10 yrs now. So yes wake is important but we will run extra weight in either boat so I think we can get a clean nice wake on either one. I posted on here to get some info on the boats, I was a sales manager for Nautiques a few years ago, but I do not know much about all of there new lines. We drove and rode behind the x-15 and the 210 both were nice. So now we have one more demo on this Sunday both boats again. Bringing pops out the final decision maker. Price is always important but they are both within 5k of each other so not a real big deal. We just want a boat that we can put a lot of hours and have a great time with no issues...

innov8 03-28-2009 8:30 AM

Check into the warranties as well with both manufacturers, see who has the better warranty. <BR> <BR><a href="http://www.nautiques.com/boatpages/spec210" target="_blank">http://www.nautiques.com/boatpages/spec210</a> <BR> <BR>Specs for 09 210 above.

swellbow 03-28-2009 9:24 AM

Thanks Jeff, I guess the deal maker would be an 09 instead of an 08. The 08 is rated for 10 people and they are supposed to be the same boat.. Freakin Nautique

mhunter 03-28-2009 9:31 AM

You were a sales manager for Nautique and you need your dads money to buy? How old are you?

innov8 03-28-2009 10:29 AM

No problem swellbow, you should be able to get a good deal on an 09 210. <BR>I would still get the 08 210 over the other two choices.

swellbow 03-28-2009 11:33 AM

Sales Manager yeah for a year, and then rode the mortgage indusrty wave for the last 5 and now I have a Board shop and make no money... Iam 31. So yes the Boat is Dad s money... Why how old do you need to be to work for Nautique

mhunter 03-28-2009 2:12 PM

It just sounded like you were in your teens living at home. Being a sales manager for Nautique that didn't convince you?

swellbow 03-28-2009 5:08 PM

If it was my check I would be riding behind a brand new 210 right now...

swellbow 03-29-2009 1:38 PM

Just Bought the 210... That boat is going to be a blast this summer... Pretty stoked to see Pops who has been Die Hard MC guy for life make the change... Once again everyone thanks for the help.Zane thanks again for your time and effort put forth Very COOL of you!!!!

hockey9 03-29-2009 1:43 PM

Post some pics! Congrats

wakemikey 03-29-2009 5:22 PM

Glad to see E&amp;O is doing so well. <BR> <BR>Can't help but wonder why buy new??

aarond0083 03-29-2009 8:28 PM

Some people like to have new boats. And now is a great time to buy if you can afford to do so. <BR> <BR>E&amp;O, congrats on the 210. You and your Dad made the right choice. I am on my third one and they keep getting better and better. You are going to love it. Please post some pictures.

innov8 04-01-2009 8:53 AM

Congrats E&amp;O enjoy your new 210!! <BR>Did you buy an 08 or 09? <BR> <BR>(Message edited by innov8 on April 01, 2009)
