That should be interesting considering an A24 should weigh about 1000lbs less than a G

chattwake 07-01-2013 1:22 PM

Mase - I heard the exact same thing.

dezul 07-01-2013 3:58 PM

I tried to call the boat over yesterday to find out how the wake was compared to the A22 but they refused. I am ready to see it in action.

cboom12 07-01-2013 6:04 PM

Ive also heard that the a24 wake is g23 esque. Curious on pricing.

superair502 07-01-2013 6:15 PM

I dont want to comment on the pricing specifically but I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised from what I have heard.

bryce2320 07-01-2013 6:32 PM

Quit holding out on us guys!!!! :p

you_da_man 07-01-2013 6:51 PM

I heard as well on the pricing on the A24 and was pleasantly surprised.

dezul 07-01-2013 7:22 PM

I dont know if a 24 would fit me. I have been thinking about some A22s for a while. This might make it more practical.

superair502 07-01-2013 7:45 PM

You can buy my loaded 2012 with rev 410s! I am going to be putting in an order on an A24 for sure. I love my boat more than any I have ever spent much time in but I am wanting to custom order one

MattieK27 07-01-2013 8:35 PM

"I heard pricing, but I'm not going to share."

"I saw the boat, but didn't take pictures."

"My dealer said it's going to be sweet, but no specifics..."

Seriously, lets just call every boat thread a rumor thread at this point. I was looking forward to some sneak peaks in this thread. Bummer....

I heard MB bought a deck boat mold and is converting it to a 24' inboard for '14.......oh wait they tried that already......;)

ripr 07-02-2013 7:57 PM

Moomba just officially showed a peek of their new model along their social channels. It's called the Mondo. Look for it to be a sub 21' 'mini mojo' maybe?

I also keep hearing rumor of an MC value line (like the V ride from Bu)...but who knows.

Heard a rumor that MC doesn't believe in a value line. They are MC

Carzan say's their is going to be a DIY centurion RAMM fill kit available to anyone with a Hacksaw and a tape measure. Carzan says the kit will install in 15 mins or less or money back .

Finally, one picture to add to the thread. How is it no SC fans posted this?

stang_killa_ss 07-03-2013 7:48 AM

i posted it on facebook last night.
looks like a mojo nose on a smaller boat.
definatly something id be interested in.

07-03-2013 9:58 AM

Really like that interior on the new Moomba

On that cobalt, I saw a vdrive cobalt the other day. Never knew Co alt had made one. Looked like it was late 90's or early 2000's

cwb4me 07-05-2013 4:06 AM

Bryant also has some sharp looking I/O wakeboat clones.

stang_killa_ss 07-05-2013 6:48 AM

another new sneak peak of the mondo.
love the center walk way. vinyl also looks like its textured/carbon weave.
surf platform.

superair502 07-05-2013 8:49 AM

That Moomba looks pretty amazing just from the pics so far but man having the word Mondo all over the boat is a near deal breaker on its own.

polarbill 07-05-2013 8:52 AM

Looks good. As for the name Mondo maybe Moomba is partnering with Taco Del Mar? Buy a Moomba Mondo, get a liketime supply of Mondo Burritos.

stang_killa_ss 07-05-2013 9:21 AM

debadging is easy. plus i think in looks sick as hell. like a Chip Foose car.
of course the one in the seadeck on the rear would probly have to stay. but side logos are so easy to remove.

also i heard as well that the mondo will be cheaper than the A24, and with the same wake. but i was not able to confirm. however an uncle of mine did. but he cannot share. his phone battery died.

chattwake 07-05-2013 9:52 AM

Same wake, eh. How the hell would you, or your uncle, know? Unless your uncle is an r&d engineer at malibu, a local malibu rep, or one of a very limited number of pro riders, your uncle doen't know squat.

Although, if you've been talking to your uncle, I'm sure you know that the Mondo comes with some new surf technology to compete with the A24 as well. You uncle told me that, with the new Mondo, you simply have to squeeze an avacado lever shaped on the dash and a huge chalupa shaped fin pokes out of the rear of the boat (kindof like dipping a Tostitos chip into a bowl of salsa) and scoops out a sick multi-layered surf wave that is so totally big that it tsunamied the entire Malibu plant. I heard the catch phrase will be, "the Mondo's wave is layers above the rest... seven layers that is..."

Bumpass1 07-05-2013 10:19 AM

I want to see all the new stuff as much as the next guy, but I can't seem to get excited about these close in shots from Moomba. Lets see the whole package then make a decision. I find it hard to tell anything from a tight shot of the transom. Same with the bow shot. It shows the layout but not really any way to tell the size.

stang_killa_ss 07-05-2013 11:08 AM

lol nice edit chatwake when you realized i was poking fun/ sarcastic and the previous posts in the thread.
btw have you tried the new santitas chips with the sazonadas seasoning? there friggin amazing!
http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7374/8...9d3f21d9_z.jpg

chattwake 07-05-2013 11:16 AM

I did not realize you were poking fun, and my edit was due to a gramatical error.

chattwake 07-05-2013 11:17 AM

I'll have to try the santitas chips with sazonadas seasoning, but those do sound good. I'll pick some up on my way home today and report back.

stang_killa_ss 07-05-2013 11:41 AM

heres a quick photoshop i did.
i took a mojo and shortened it by 10%
which would make it a 20'-2" boat.
http://imageshack.us/a/img4/5452/z4ch.jpg

here are specs i also completely made up (actually all based off real world specs and prices of Mojo and LSV averaged together and then multiplied by 90%)

Fictional specs from photoshop.
Length: 20'-2"
Weight: 3420 lbs
Ballast: 1000 lbs
Motor: Indmar 330hp V8
Street Price: $50,400

hunter660 07-05-2013 4:22 PM

It would be entirely possible for someone to have seen the boat. When I was working at MasterCraft, the new unreleased X Star was on Telico lake daily. I also saw the Mojo many times on the water before it was out. Even rode in a pre-production A22 while I was there.

Khyber 07-05-2013 4:29 PM

Is August the month most of the major manufacturers release new boats/enhancements?

I agree. I ride ft loudon and melton and i have seen the A24 on both. I am sure they are o Telico even more since the plants are there. Isnt the Supra plant in Maryville though?

superair502 07-05-2013 10:45 PM

What did it look like just a bigger A22?

jrw160 07-05-2013 10:48 PM

Do any of you guys own cameras? My phone has one...it works pretty well

Right????

Nordicron 07-06-2013 10:20 AM

I've heard that the SAN 210 losses the reversible seat(bad idea Nautique) and adds a rear walk through(great idea). Also sounded like its all top deck changes. And no more Team Editions for 210 or 230.

Yep, it was a bigger A22 with more interior space and surf gate. I heard the A22's are getting surf gate also.

stang_killa_ss 07-07-2013 7:11 AM

pic from the rear of the Mondo

this one reveals the sunpad walkway, a pop up ski pylon, 3 piece rear bench with seadek step and cooler, and rear cupholders.

Best looking moomba interior I've ever seen.

501s 07-07-2013 10:28 AM

I agree with Chat. By far the nicest Moomba interior I've seen. If they can keep their prices down that's going to be a pretty good selling boat IMO. A lot of improvements there.

redsupralaunch 07-07-2013 2:29 PM

Now that Mondo pic has been released, the rear seat is divided into 3 pieces. Big improvement for access to storage! I drove a couple of weeks ago and is way beyond my expectations. Sorry but I promised not to post any unauthorized pics. Much deeper, wider, and super clean wakes. Absolute home run for that market size boat.

DatTexasBoy 07-07-2013 5:29 PM

That is a great improvement on the Moomba interior. Good move on their part. If they upgraded their wake too, now that will be nice!

After looking around a bit I found this picture of the the new '14 SC interior.

Bamabonners 07-08-2013 7:50 AM

Looks like a snap in the carpet - snap out carpet for SC finally? Not digging the inset vinyl, doesn't fit the shape of the seats or the interior. I have always like the stainless window frame.

I had forgotten all about that. I had the chance to talk to Shane on the phone when he was at MB. Seems like a great guy.

bryce2320 07-08-2013 4:05 PM

I heard thru the grape vine that Axis is coming out with an A23, and it is a traditional bow.

williamburell 07-08-2013 5:15 PM

Never thought I would say it but the mondo maybe a candidate for us next year the way its looking. I heard like 74 for a a24 loaded up btw. My uncle told me and hes reliable as hell

tyler97217 07-09-2013 8:16 AM

I don't know if it's the size of the 247, or what, but it looks way awkward and undersized for the boat. I think it would look better debadged, but then again it would be interesting to see that graphic on the 23LSV/VLX/VTX. It is still a sharp looking boat.

polarbill 07-09-2013 4:47 PM

That boat like most wakesetters would look better without the wakesetter graphic since the beginning of the wakesetter graphic. The only one that is all around good looking and the right size in my opinion is the 2007 silver edition. They had a very similar one a couple years after but put a weird WS in between Wake and Setter that messed it all up.

I like it. It makes the 247 look not as long. To me, that boat always looks like a stretched disproportional boat... makes the boat look smaller IMO. I like it

MCObray 07-09-2013 5:09 PM

New graphics on MXZ from Red Bull Wake Open. I like the Malibu logo on the Bimini.

polarbill 07-09-2013 5:10 PM

I like the 247 but it looks like they took a perfectly proportional boat in the 23LSV and just added a foot and a half in the middle and left the bow and windshield exactly where it was. Still a good looking and awesome boat but not as good looking or awesome as the 23LSV.

polarbill 07-09-2013 5:12 PM

Dang, that MXZ looks slammed. That right there might be the sexiest picklefork look ever if it weren't for the 40th edition Xstar.

I agree, one of the better looking boats in water that I have seen. Creep mode.

Kjkimball 07-09-2013 7:34 PM

Anybody else think the board racks on the blue and white MXZ are the PTM Edge Clamp4rce racks like on Tige' boats? PTM mirror on Malibu so maybe the racks now too.

There is a pretty good pic of the G21 on wakemakers you can see the top deck changes pretty well. Nothing other than the builder pics of the SC. I hear there is some cool Malibu/Axis models due out at some point.
