I'm thinking about getting an Assassin 134, but the weight limit is 140. I'm about 160. Do you think I can get away with it?

If you really want a short board, then yes you can get away with it (I rode a belmont 134 at 210lbs) I'd think you'd be much more comfortable on the 139. but its all personal preferance, have you ridden it before?

(Message edited by kristian on November 30, 2003)

You could get away with it but let me warn you that thing rides even smaller. If you look at it the nubs on the end stick out quite a way and really mislead you when you think how big it is. I weigh exactly 140 and it almost feels small. This is because I have my bindings all the way out so there is very little nose, like 8-10 inches from the edge of the baseplate. Your stance is the biggest concern and feeling unnerved if there is very little board in front of your feet.

No, I've never ridden it before. It probably would be too small. I just want a short board for some reason. I ride a 139 now and I'm way past due for a new one (it's a '98 evil twin). My board just feels really big to me. What you think about a Team 134?

I'm 5'11" and 185lbs. I also like short boards. Its pretty rare on this site. I mostly ride a super squirt 128. Also ride a phatty 132 and a vision 135.

u should probably go with a bigger size. definately stick with a 136 or bigger imo. i ride a 141 and a 137. i like both boards and i am 6' 155 lbs.

I ride the 134 Assassin and have all this year I am 165 lbs and have never had a problem with it. I will say that I am waiting to get the new 138 Blade for 04 from blindside But I still love the 134 Assassin The only thing I noticed with the 139 was that I seem to get a little more pop with less of a press but I would say if you like the shortboards go for it it is a great board

(Message edited by blindsiderider on December 02, 2003)
