Wakeboard Slider / Rail

A few friends and I built a portable wakeboard rail this winter, That is plated and insured as a trailer.. We just back it in to the boat launch and remove the hitch

Registered as a canoe or pontoon? Always wanted to do this with an old stripped down pontoon, great work!

We are in Saskatchewan, Canada and we do not need to have it registered as a watercraft.. its registered as a trailer so you can legally pull it down the road as it is and put license plates on it, its 8 feet wide and 40 feet long

Looks like the rails are raw wood. How does that work?

Took it to the lake this weekend and rail worked great, Pulled down the road really good, launched in the boat launch awesome and I pulled it into place with an old 580 seadoo... winched it to two screw anchers and hit it 4 times before it started to rain.. Slides really nice with the wax on there

sweet!

We are also in Sask (brightsand) if you want to drop it off...lol

ENON 06-10-2013 1:01 PM

Haha I would think about it but we are on the opposite side of the province (Hudson bay)

ENON 06-11-2013 7:31 AM

We are talking about selling this rail sometime and building another one or maybe a portable kicker next winter.. Does anyone know anything about how it would be to sell something like this into the states from Canada? And does anyone have any suggestions on the best place to advertise it for sale? .. Thanks

bring this out to greenwater. too bad so many people would get butt hurt over it there though.

ENON 06-12-2013 7:15 PM

Too many people and COs at green water but it will either be at kip or ruby all summer if ya want to try it out

I also have a rail very similar to that one, with a custom trailer. Mine is built all out of aluminum.

Each of the barrels beneath is individually plumber to float the slider at the desired height.

ENON 06-15-2013 7:05 AM

That's awesome man, we have 4 individual barrels and 2 pontoons made with 3 barrels welded together.. We put 1 inch ball valves and 1/4 inch breather valves on each to level if needed. But it floats very level

Looks just like the one we built a couple years ago... I should go dig that thing out of the barn and drop it in the river again

wazzy 07-19-2013 9:59 AM

^^ YES... YES YOU SHOULD!!! (& call me when you do) I still have a pontoon platform sitting in my yard & a design modeled up in SolidWorks..... just need to find the time to build....

ENON 08-01-2013 9:07 AM

That thing looks awesome too!.. did ya get it in the water this year?
