Ok so i type in "wax" in the serach and all this stuff i never thought of pops up, marine wax, 303 protectant, pledge. About a million arguements about why one is better than the other

This is an old thread mostly ont he 303 protectant
http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/216572.html

This is an old thread abut how pledge is awesome
http://www.planetnautique.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=3 13

Ok so at the end of the season last year i took all the decals of my 86 supra comp and wetsanded followed by the 3M compound, then the meguires boat polish and wax.

Now i'm getting ready to wax again since its been sitting all winter in michigan and i see all these threads. What route should i go, i just bought more wax and some 303 protectant for my seats. Those threads are old, so has 303 stood the test of time or pledge for that matter.

wax will last a heck of a lot longer on the side of your boat that pledge or 303. I can see getting a "quick" shine from those two products and that's about it. You could get this quick shine from WD-40 also but you don't often hear of people putting that on their boats (although I know somebody who did the day he sold the boat to hide the oxidation).

The best thing that Pledge does is keep the dust from collecting on it.
You want some type of 'wax' finish to keep the shine. It could be synthetic instead of wax. Usually the harder it is to put on, the harder it is to wear off. But my boats have never been too shiny because I'm usually too lazy.

I wax a few times a year, but 303 every trip(sometimes before we head out and after we get back). 303 looks good, but the key is the UV protection.

303 everywhere on the boat but the carpet, cover and glass.......

Yeah I'm for sure going to 303 the interior every time out.

E.J. you gotta go through a lot of 303 per season lol
