Where do you guys get your buffer and supplies. I started at Home Depot but only found grinders, which I guess it the same thing, but very little buffing supplies? I just finished up with some 2000 wet sanding on a few scratches now need to move on the 3M Finesse-It and then the Marine Color/Gloss Restorer, followed by a good waxing. <BR> <BR>Do you order online? Any recommendations on a buffer and what supplies I would need to complete this job?

I ran across this info and saved it to send to a friend that bought a boat with a faded gel coat. Cooper, I see that you are in Dallas, TX and so am I. <BR> <BR>I would take a look at 3m perfect 3000 rubbing compound (3m 06060) to remove those 2000 grit scratches. I would use a wool pad to remove the scratches. <BR> <BR>You are going to have to work very hard with the finesse-it to remove those scratches. After the 3m perfect 3000 you can decide if you want to use the finesse it. IF you do, switch over to a foam pad. I did not have to when I did mine this summer. <BR> <BR>Look up English Color here is Dallas. They can get you what you need (Compound, Polish, Backing plate and pads) <BR> <BR>Check out Northern Tool, I think they have a couple of stores in DFW. I picked up a polisher for under $40 and it works great.
