pwnd....so whats the story behind this?

bmartin 07-10-2008 7:26 PM

Wow looks like that might be too much balast. <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/crazy.gif" border=0>. Need some details on this one, but feel bad for the crew. I would be sick for a while with that.

bac 07-10-2008 7:41 PM

Man, thats gotta hurt.

ttuclint 07-10-2008 7:44 PM

bet they won't forget to put the plug in next time. <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/lol.gif" border=0>

brucemac 07-10-2008 8:30 PM

woah! bummer

radikal 07-10-2008 8:44 PM

never forget to put the truck on the park before leaving him alone in a ramp.

behindtheboat 07-11-2008 5:54 AM

truck on park?

behindtheboat 07-11-2008 5:55 AM

So instead of helping out someone was snapping pictures....

snork 07-11-2008 6:06 AM

Looks like the guy in the bow didn't want to get wet.

tjhooker 07-11-2008 6:51 AM

What type of boat is that. Looks older. Anyone have a clue? Also, I love the wakeboard rope attached to the boat. There is a tug-of-war going between 7 guys and 3 girls vs. a submerged boat. Wonder who won? <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/rofl.gif" border=0>

dudeman 07-11-2008 6:57 AM

Doesn't look like the 1st misfortune for those guys. Check out the tower. Bent down in the back and speakers all jacked up in different directions.

absoluteboarder 07-11-2008 7:13 AM

..the slope of the ramp doesn't match the depth of the boat or so it seems....must be some dropoff!

showtime 07-11-2008 7:23 AM

looks like an old ski supreme... but looking at the rubrail looks like a nauti... no open bow though... bad lick for the guys....

roverjohn 07-11-2008 7:29 AM

+1^^^^ <BR> <BR>Pretty sure it's a Ski Supreme also but if not maybe a Sanger?

morewaves 07-11-2008 7:37 AM

I saw the same picture on a local news website which has a small explanation. <BR> <BR><a href="http://www.komonews.com/younews/24329309.html" target="_blank">http://www.komonews.com/younews/24329309.html</a>

<blockquote><hr size=0><!-quote-!><font size=1><b>quote:</b></font><p>BOATING GOES BAD <BR>by BodnarNews (Subscribe) <BR>Posted on: Jul 10, 2008 at 12:19 PM PDT <BR>Channel: Local News <BR>Location: Wenberg State Park, Lake Goodwin, Marysville <BR> <BR>A ski boat flipped over on Lake Goodwin on Wednesday around 4pm, when 6 college students were going a bit too fast for the lake’s conditions. <b>“John” the owner of the boat said that he’d bought the boat the evening before and this was basically its maiden voyage. He stated they were going pretty fast when they hit a wake and the boat rolled over. </b> All passengers were picked up by other boaters and the boat was towed into shore with a majority of the boat under water. The passengers were all shaken and walked away with only cuts and bruises. “John” will have two nice scars under both armpits where he hit the top of the glass windshield. Though they had life jackets on board, nobody had them on, and one girl stated that she didn’t know how to swim. They were very lucky. With the help of local bystanders and Wenberg state park rangers, the boat was pulled from the water with beach goers looking on. <!-/quote-!><hr size=0></blockquote>

bac 07-11-2008 8:45 AM

Hit a wave and rolled??? Must have been one heck of a wake!

mendo247 07-11-2008 10:17 AM

Wow! Since know on got hurt i guess that makes this a funny story, and learning experience.

Mullets = Trouble

roverjohn 07-11-2008 12:29 PM

I just bought a Ski Supreme and was curious as to what it would look like with a tower.

robandrus 07-11-2008 12:58 PM

I hope carfax is writting a report on this one. <BR> <BR>"Great boat, turns over great, washed down, inside and out."

mendo247 07-11-2008 1:23 PM

If that was me id just walk away and let her sink! Nothing good is going to come from all those people hanging onto and out in that boat while its on the verge of sinking.

hatepain 07-11-2008 1:32 PM

I heard about this but hadn't seen anything on it. That's the lake I live on Lake Goodwin they had it towed to our launch.

882001 07-11-2008 1:44 PM

thats on the verge of sinking?

robandrus 07-11-2008 2:17 PM

Is that guy trying to steer the boat while the others are paddling it in? How about the guy in the bow. Get off your butt and help. I don't freak out when crap happens, but it bugs me when people don't want to help.

snork 07-11-2008 4:47 PM

Bet he's not insured with Ski-Safe. He had to bring her home.

future 07-12-2008 11:19 AM

That is where our lake property is and we just got back a couple days ago. I'm bummed I missed this looks pretty funny. The ramp is at a weird angle right now but didn't have anything to do with this but looks like it made it harder to get out of the water. Browny you live there and are off for two weeks did you see these guys out there?
