A little wakesurf action from Texas

Hey guys,
We had some fun with the Gulfcoast Wake Association up on the Trinity River a few weeks back. Put a little video together to share the fun!

Enjoy!

Cool Vid.... did you guys stay at Bethy?.... I didn;'t see any gators there... lol

WackFlip 04-29-2013 4:01 PM

Yea. We stayed at Bethy. Love that place. We saw a few gators but they won't mess with you. My sister was in the water and someone yelled gator. She turned into Jesus because she walked on water back to the boat. Turned out to be a little 6 footer. Nothing big.

We're already trunkin it here in North Tejas... waters about 68...

Yeah, I think most people in TX are oblivious to the amount and spread of the gator population. People are afraid to go to the river where we ride because they hear there are gators. They need to do a little research about their own riding spot

I can't think of one place that doesn't have gators here in Houston.

Pad1Tai 05-01-2013 11:33 AM

Gators

Alligators use to be pretty prolific across the eastern half the state, venturing fairly far north, but not too far (get sort of cold for them), and only limited exploitation of the hill country. The San Gabriel River being part of the larger Brazos River Basin did have records of gators in the past. They do not make it too far up the Colorado or the Guadalupe. But yes, many of the lakes public and private in and around the Houston area have american alligators some even have various species of caiman (due to the pet trade) which are much more agressive.
