I have one of the narrower mirrors from CIPA, a compII I think (not an extreme but close to the same dimensions) and I DO NOT like it compared to a typical CIPA comp style. I run it on my windshield sometimes, but I usually just leave it off and use my tower mounted comp.

Even though the mirror has the same reflective dimensions, it doesn't seem to have the same viewing as the comp. I don't know if it is due to the increased distortion or what, but it isn't my preference.

I like the extreme mirror. I can adjust the wing mirrors to view the rider at all times. With the standard 14x7 I couldn't see the rider on a wide cut.

I would say its worth the $20 extra.

anyone else use the extreme mirror with an opinion?
|
I just got an 08 X15 that came with the standard mirror. Had the extreme mirror on my 06 X2. One day after using the standard mirror, I went back to the dealer and switched them out. Hands down the extreme mirror gives you more visual of the rider from all angles.

i love that extreme mirror... is there a arm for that fits a 2" tower ?
|
There is an arm for your tower. Samson sports makes an awesome one that I have.

I love the Extreme and would never go back to the other.
