Well, what do ya'll think? Wakes, etc...Right now I personally like the Sanger but it has come down to these 2 boats. Boat-buying is an exciting but frustrating process.

Easy Sanger

lakesurfer 09-24-2009 6:37 AM

Sanger, but you dont see that many in TX. <BR> <BR>Also, the Sanger dealer in Dallas (<a href="http://www.nortexws.com/" target="_blank">http://www.nortexws.com/</a>) is trying to clear out his inventory.

rio_sanger 09-24-2009 7:56 AM

This should help you make an informed decision... <BR> <BR><a href="http://www.sangerboats.com/craftsmanship.html" target="_blank">http://www.sangerboats.com/craftsmanship.html</a>

Both are nice boats but I went Sanger and am sooo glad I did. It's a family affair with Sanger they're a phenomenal boat maker hell they've been making them since for 55 years and the same family has owned them the whole time. C'mon drink the Sanger cool aid...<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/proud.gif" border=0>

Sanger

Sanger. <BR> <BR>I test drove an 07&amp;08 lsv and 08 v215 last year before I decided to go with my 08 22SSV. Biggest thing - go test drive both. Big difference in how they feel going through real rough water.I don't know if it's the wood stringers in the Sanger or what, but you go through the roughest chop or double up and just feel/hear a nice percussive thump. LSV is more of a bone jarring thwack. Both handle really well. I thought, out of the box, the wake on the sanger was a lot cleaner. Sanger has hard ballast tanks in the rear and the ballast system (at least in comparing 08's) filled a HELL of a lot faster on the Sanger. <BR>I thought the quality of the vinyl and carpet was better in the sanger. One thing that bugged me with the moomba was how the windshield overhangs the seating. I couldn't sit in the seat opposite the driver and leadn back without hitting my head on the windshield. Yeah, I'm kinda tall, but my lil sis at 5'3" had the same issue. Most important thing - just spend a lot of time in both before you decide. If you can, go check out as many boats as you can just to note the differences. <BR>Are they similarly priced/equiped? <BR>Not trying to hate on the moomba, it's a great boat. But between the two...sanger is it.

hillbilly 09-24-2009 9:42 AM

I love my 07 LSV but I hear a ton of good things about the Sanger line in general. And I hear the wake on the V215 is money with the right weight and setup. <BR>I do believe they changed the pump system on the newer Moomba's and they fill faster now. <BR> <BR>Definitely test drive them both, And good luck...

deltariderscom 09-25-2009 7:15 AM

Both boats you will be happy with. Out of the box the Moomba has a bigger cleaner wake. The V215 on the other hand is begging for additional weight and does nothing but get huge and clean. The Moomba on the other hand has a limit and the wake will curl. <BR>Both Boats handle well and unless you’re looking to be a slot car on the water you wont notice a difference towing a rider. If you’re worried about it the Sanger will turn circles around the Moomba. The deep V keel of the Moomba gives it more of a push through turns. <BR>Room in both is plentiful, I like the sac's that Moomba has in the rear verses hard tanks because your able to utilize more room when empty and also add lead without taking room. The hard tanks of the Sanger are always there. <BR>Interior of the Moomba has better carpet but not as good of quality in the upholstery. The detail and plushness of the Moomba is not as good as the Sanger also. But the Moomba does come with more standard options then the Sanger does. <BR> <BR>Both great boats, my choice would be Sanger V215 purely because of the quality and the Awesome Wake it produces.

scwellman 09-25-2009 12:51 PM

Sanger V215 all the way!

unclejessie 09-25-2009 1:20 PM

V215 wake when done right is legit! IMO, in the top three wakes I have ever ridden. Super clean and super firm. Lots of interior room. <BR> <BR>-Uj

ill say sanger <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/biggrin.gif" border=0>

SANGER BABY SANGER!!!!

craig_f 10-13-2009 9:59 PM

I'd say... (INSERT NAME OF OTHER BOAT HERE) <BR> <BR> <BR>Can't believe this post made it this far without it.

taft 10-13-2009 11:14 PM

I got the V237 Sanger. It is really just a larger version of the V215. Sick boats. <BR> <BR>My family moved out of an '06 Supra 22SSV into the Sanger. Definitely a very nice upgrade. Looking at the '09 Supras, I'd still go with a Sanger. Both nice, but Sanger seemed nicer almost entirely across the board.

wake77 10-14-2009 6:34 AM

I wouldn't get either<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/biggrin.gif" border=0>

fatsac 10-14-2009 8:19 AM

That is cool and interesting to see someone who has owned both prefer Sanger to Supra.

houstonwatersports 10-14-2009 8:51 AM

black_ops_09 10-14-2009 9:58 AM

I went with Sanger. I have 2009, had a lil speed bump, but Sanger fixed problem...and love the boat!

lifetimewarranty 10-14-2009 12:27 PM

Nice boat. Congratulations! <BR> <BR> <BR> Probably looks incredible on the water! <BR> <BR>- and I would vote for the Sanger also...

hdrew 10-14-2009 12:43 PM

hatepain 10-14-2009 12:47 PM

toneus 10-14-2009 4:41 PM

Welcome to the Sanger Fam!

05mobiuslsv 10-14-2009 4:52 PM

Made a good choice.

akowens 10-18-2009 4:04 PM

Derrick, pictures will come soon. We went out on the boat today for the first time. The wake threw me into the air and i fell hard many times, but im already pumped for next weekend and spring. We're very pleased with our decision. Sanger!!

jumpit13 10-19-2009 9:35 PM

We have the 05 I took out the hard tanks and put bags in more weight and added store when not full to get to the lake. Makes the wake that much bigger with 750 per side for surfing.fill them up 1/2 way and get a great wakeboard wake. used the same pumps and lines from the hard tanks. Family loves the boat handles the chop great. Only regret is we didnot get the heater. But will add someday(winter Project)

taft 10-19-2009 11:09 PM

Dylan, what was the process like for removing those tanks and setting up connections to fit your custom bags? <BR> <BR>I've got a 237 and I want to do the same thing. I thought it would be a quick disconnect to get rid of the tanks, but after a 5min inspection with a screwdriver I decided it may have to wait til the off-season (now) to do.

polarbill 10-20-2009 8:20 AM

I have no idea what it take but HATE might be able to chime in. There is a Sanger dealer north of Portland that knows these boats better than any Sanger dealer out there and they actually pull the floor in the back and install 500 lb bags under the floor on each side. The bags run from the back all the way up to the windshield or close. I talked to them once and they said the floor had a hole in it or was removable or something. If that is the case it would be fairly easy to install and you could still plumb in 600's or 750's in the rear. This would help for a great hidden ballast system for surfing.

taft 10-20-2009 11:03 PM

That would be insane if you can actually fit some bags under the floor as well. I've been told around 1100lbs could fit in a bare locker in a 237. Having more weight under that could be extremely entertaining.

hatepain 10-21-2009 8:19 AM

I didn't get the rear tanks nor the under floor system which I really wish I had so I'm no help here. I use lead and water in the rear to the tune of 1200lbs. I'd love to do the underfloor system one day but I'll likely wait until my next Sanger for that. The Pro Shop actually has a V237 with the underfloor system in it already. Man I'd love to have that bad boy! <BR> <BR>I can't imagine changing those tanks out would be tough it's just nutting up and doing it. Wakeside has all the fittings to convert the hoses for your fly highs.

polarbill 10-21-2009 8:24 AM

Andrew, call The Pro Shop. They may be able to tell you if it is possible to do it yourself. <BR> <BR><a href="http://teamproshop.com/" target="_blank">http://teamproshop.com/</a>

taft 10-21-2009 11:45 AM

Thanks guys, <BR> <BR>The thought of an epic setup is making October a bad month for me. Why the hell does the season have to be ending now? Aha

ottog1979 10-21-2009 2:16 PM

Nice boat Andrew! Use the down-time in the winter to work on boat projects. It's not riding, but it has to do with it!
