Ok guys, I thought that I had found a Ski supreme to buy, but it fell through. Now I found a 1996 Ski Brendella SL Comp with 400 hours. I know that it is not a great wakeboard boat, but I am just a beginner. The reason why I am intrigued so much is I can get it for $7000, the NADA book lists it to be worth about $3500 more. Also, I live in Idaho and have been looking for a boat for a few months and there is not much for sale. If I was to get better wakeboarding I would try to trade/sell it next year and don't think that I would get hurt to bad financially. Anyway, what do you guys think? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ryan

Ryan for $7,000 you can't really go wrong and if your just a beginner that would be a great boat to learn on. Once you get better you can always get some fat sacs and make a good wake out of it. You don't have to have a wakeboard specific boat to get a good wake. Take it out on the water and make sure it runs good. It sounds like a solid deal.

Brad,
Thanks for the reply! I did do a search on the board and couldn't find much info on the boat. Anyone know if the hull is different than the early 90's Brendella boats? Has anyone been behind a 96 sl comp? Thanks in advance!

Ok last bump. Any opinions if I would be better off buying a I/O for the same price as this? I thought that the inboard would be better but it sounds like there is absolutly no wake. Opinions appreciated!

Ryan

You can always make a wake.... INBOARDS are better...

I've boarded a lot behind I/Os.

If you're serious about this sport, go with an Inboard (period.) I can go into a detailed explination, but Inboards are better for wakeboarding. night & day difference.

just make sure it runs good. sounds like a good starter boat

Ryan,
I started with a Ski Brendella and they are great boats. Mine had over 1000 hrs when I traded it in. Works great with a pylon and you can get the wake a decent size (not great but decent) with some fat sacks. Go with the Brendella over an IO for sure.
