Ballest Question
I am looking at adding a plug and play ballast system to my direct drive boat. Is it possible to plumb all the bags together and use one flyhigh drop in the water pump and fill all the bags at once?

Yes you can chain them together. But the fill time is going to be long. How are you going to drain them, draining that way may be a problem. If your throwing pumps over the side your better off filling them one at a time, IMO.

I am going to be using the Ronix bags so dropping the pump in one of the bags for darning

Bags do not drain well in a line/chain. They will fill because of the positive pressure of the fill pump. But draining it will rely on gravity and won't work very well.

Ronix Eight.3 Telescope bags will be available next month. You will not go wrong for your application.

I have a 400lbs sac on either side of my dog house. I had everything plumbed in and ended up ripping it all out. Throwing the pumps overboard was way simpler and faster. Plus when they weren't needed I didn't have any hoses in the way.

Buy two tsunami pumps. Cuts the fill and empty time in half. Plus you know you'll always have a backup in case one fails.

^good idea!

In my old nautique I plumbed in a system using a single Jabsco Ballast Puppy. Its reversible so would fill and drain the sacs. I ran the hose then used pvc ball valves to control which bags to fill or drain. It actually worked great and would fill roughly 2500 lbs in about 10 minutes if I remember right. Took some time to set it all up but was a great off-season project
