Tomorrow I finally get my new X30 after upgrading from a 2003 Moomba Mobius LS direct drive. Needless to say, I'm beyond excited and feel like a kid at Christmas....

crosenhahn 06-07-2012 9:43 AM

quite the upgrade...Enjoy the new ride!!! Like that charcoal color on the back!!!

factorykitted 06-07-2012 10:05 AM

saw one of these on the water last week, looked slick. one question why does MC have some damn models? how does one choose between the x30 and x35? i just noticed the x25 was a 21.5' boat (looks much bigger in person) and so is the x15? whats the difference?

mallenger 06-07-2012 10:21 AM

Saw that x30 at the knoxville boat show and it looked sick. Congratulations!

xstarrider 06-07-2012 11:34 AM

That's is a nice looking ride. Congrats.

MC has so many models these days as the have chosen to kind of make a standard bow more multipurpose hull boat and a pickle bow version with a more of a wake hull in each size category. That's the best I can figure.

factorykitted 06-07-2012 12:42 PM

seems very expensive on the tooling side of things but its pretty obvious they have it figured out

Have you seen the price of these boats :D

Andrew14 06-07-2012 1:22 PM

Great looking boat - love how the red pops on the interior. Congrats and enjoy!

downfortheride 06-07-2012 1:27 PM

That's a good looking X30. Congrats on your upgrade!

spf2275 06-07-2012 2:41 PM

As far as the X line up goes the X-15 and X-30 are traditional bow. X-2, X-25, X-35, X-45, X-55 are pickle forks.

Bamabonners 06-07-2012 6:26 PM

i heard that x15 is going away next year...

beautiful boat. one of the best I have seen.

mim3 06-09-2012 6:46 AM

Took delivery last night of our 30. A couple baseball games and then back to the cottage!

our newest 30

bcrider 10-12-2012 2:40 PM

That's a nice looking boat although I'm quite partial to fiberglass swim platform's now.

I love the teak platform. It classes the entire boat up. Also, the teak will look much better, much longer than the fiberglass platform with a basic cleaning and oiling once or twice a year. I bought an 87 nautique a few years ago that the teak looked pretty faded and gray. I spent probably $25 or $20 bucks and an hour and it looked near brand new and that was 20 year old teak. The fiberglass platforms get chipped, scratched, dinged and there is no great fix besides actual fiberglass/gelcoat repair. Also, you have to deal with an extra piece of plastic/rubber/etc on teh fiberglass platform that you don't on the teak. That said I understand why people like fiberglass for not having to clean it and looks(subjective).

slowwwflowww 10-12-2012 3:39 PM

Those are nice looking boats!!Enjoy your new rides:)

crowem87 10-12-2012 5:35 PM

One of the huge differences people don't think about between many of the models is the dead rise (correct term?) I know that the x35 has a few degrees higher in dead rise over the x30 which makes it a little better riding in rougher waters than some of the other models. It has been a while since I have looked into the lineup, but i think i remember that being one of the key differences. I think the 35 also may have a head in it?

Either way OP your 30 is nice!

501s 10-12-2012 6:01 PM

Craig, that X-30 looks a little familar.....

OP, you will love your new boat, it does everything well wake wise, has tons of room and storage and handles like a dream. I know people don't think of "value" when they think of MC, but I think that the X-30 is the best value in their line up. It's priced well compared to the other MC models (Yes we all know that means it's still expensive) and I think it's a solid, top contender in the 23ft catagory. There are just a lot of things to like about on this boat, but I can pretty much garuntee your favorite will be that rear seat, it's so awesome for passengers to watch the action. Let me know if you need any help dialing the wake/wave.

When compared to the X-35, I think the 30 is more of a wake/watersports boat than a family/surf boat. It's also quite a bit lower in price.

bryce2320 10-12-2012 6:08 PM

Wow, that thing is absolutely sick. Congrats on the new boat!!!!

bruizza 10-12-2012 6:48 PM

Sick boat! I'm very partial to orange and white!

markj 10-12-2012 10:18 PM

Way to hijack Craig! Why don't you just start your own thread? Both are really nice boats.

hco 10-12-2012 11:00 PM

If craig started a new thread for his freshly stocked x30 it would be filled with MC bashers and shut down for advertisement. The X30 is a great boat that can be had for a great price (on the MC scale). This boat looks even better in person and will turn heads for sure. Excited to hopefully get behind a few this upcoming summer.

snork 10-13-2012 5:17 AM

Me Like

craigtxmc 10-13-2012 8:07 AM

Apologies to Markj.... Didn't realize i was hijacking... This thread is a couple of months old and it's the only one i remembered regarding the X-30's. I just wanted to post some pics..
Levi, I need to go check your boat out again.. Hopefully I didn't clone it... May have to send you a royalty check! ha

ixfe 10-13-2012 9:04 AM

Craig - you don't have to apologize. Your stuff is some of the best designed, best photographed boats out there.

Markj - what do you have against gratuitous boat porn?

Oh yeah, I forgot about this one.. lol

We got this one from MC's production manager..

UNvisible 10-13-2012 11:18 AM

lol the mastercraft is crooked

snork 10-13-2012 11:29 AM

Sorry but that wrap blows chunks

polarbill 10-13-2012 11:48 AM

The wrap is definitely fugly.

816 10-13-2012 11:58 AM

That interior looks like a pumpkin threw up inside the boat, needs some accent colors IMO.

jrw160 10-13-2012 12:01 PM

Is the flip around rear seat now standard in the x30?

I think its an option

kko13 10-13-2012 3:05 PM

Dear God that camo boat is the most Godawful boat I have ever seen!!! Who the hell came up with that BS.

501s 10-13-2012 4:43 PM

Wow, there is UGLY and then there is that thing.....

hco 10-13-2012 6:33 PM

Craig, you should ask the production manager for a refund. I understand that different people have different tastes, but that is literally the ugliest MC I have ever seen. At least that wrap can come off, but that interior is wasted.

Most definitely! I never miss the boat show. It would be cool if you could make it up here.

rcraighughes 10-13-2012 11:45 PM

Didn't realize how old the original post was. My bad. That third boat hurts my eyes!

XSpaceWrangler 10-14-2012 6:15 AM

I saw the camo X-30 out on the water a bunch this summer. While it is nothing I would ever buy, I think it looks great in person and out on the lake.
I'm guessing that he is a TN Vols fan who also likes hunting...

craigtxmc 10-14-2012 6:49 PM

Lol, it's not my style either fellas. I'm not a fan of many wraps at all quite frankly..

Im pretty sure the MC is level when it's in the water.. I thought the same thing when I first saw it

dougr 10-14-2012 7:15 PM

i think the orange fad will fade. Its cool because its in now, so is the green. but what do you do with it when you want to sell it. I have always been leary of doing colors that where extreme, I end up getting tired of something and want a new toy. the deal would have to be really stupid to get a color that would be tough to sell. i do like the new x30, i think its a good move for mc

xstarrider 10-15-2012 3:05 PM

I just threw up in my mouth. What a waste of 100k. Guess that's what you expect from mc's production manager these days tho. Right on par with the other fubars they got going on

hco 10-15-2012 8:01 PM

And the MC hate rolls in. 2012 was a **** year for MC quality control, but I think we should see some great things from them this year.

markj 10-15-2012 11:00 PM

^^^ although it would be cool, I wouldn't hold my breath.

wakebrdjay 10-16-2012 4:29 PM

Why did they stop at the seats with the orange? The should of went all in and made the carpet orange too. LOL

Gotmods 11-28-2012 2:18 PM

Wow to both, classic vs. green/grey? I'll go green grey, nice in and out!

Andrew14 11-28-2012 3:26 PM

Unreal - Craig, you guys order some of the sweetest looking MC's....must be fun working there. Well done!

grant_west 11-28-2012 3:42 PM

Thats funny I was just having a Conversation with my Friend last night, he was saying how Texas has some of the strangest color combos AND THE ALL SELL!

He said one thing i have seen as a boat sales person is "there is a boat for every person"

Does any one ever remember the Yellow and Purple Super Air 210! Texas Baby!

cboom12 11-28-2012 3:50 PM

^^^^^^ there was one for sale here in Cali this past spring. Thing is god awful.

craigtxmc 11-28-2012 3:57 PM

Thank you Andrew. We appreciate the compliment.

Mr Grant, we do not have "strange" colors. We have aggressive color schemes.. lol

craigtxmc 11-28-2012 3:58 PM

The camo boat may be "strange" but i didn't order that one. ha

boardman74 11-28-2012 4:24 PM

Love the white and red one!! I must be getting old!

snork 11-28-2012 4:47 PM

love the classic style of the interiors with the last two

andrew_moreton 11-29-2012 6:35 AM

Craig--the lime and grey one looks great! But you knew I'd like that one.
