My 07 V215 came with stock speakers built into the underside area below the bench seat. The covers have sharp points (crappy design) and so far two people have cut their feet on the speaker covers. Has anyone else noticed this problem? Anyone found a solution?

what about sanding down the edges or just buying new covers?

It's amazing Sanger hasn't corrected that backwards slant rear speaker deck. I know two other people with that exact same problem. Both have kids and both have had their speakers ruined, twice! The angle makes it hard for kids to step down without hitting the speakers! Poor design, i would have thought they'd have corrected that by now. Corrected by using super duty metal grills, ugly but works. I know the V237 isn't that way.

After two sliced feet on two different people, and a blood bath in my boat, I just replaced the rear speaker covers with a mesh type speaker cover. Can't remember off hand the make and model of the speakers but I just searched online and found a pair for around $15.00.

Shawn

Must be why my dealer installed them on the sides rather than the back.

Shawn - do you remember the size of the covers? I don't keep my boat at home and I would love to order the covers so the next time I am out I can replace them....

I just got a set of 4 "complete" speaker covers when I got my 215 as that was the first thing we noticed on the test drive.
