Hello everyone,

I'm tired of my Landlock, and am shopping for a new board. I'm amazed at how many boards there are to choose from, and am trying to do as much research as possible. I will be demo'ing the Loogie, this weekend, and have ridden the CWB Ride, Hyperlite Broadcast, and a LF Tsunami (I think?). I haven't had a chance to ride the Custom, and am curious about its performance. I am an early intermediate rider, and am hoping to start advancing.

Thanks for any words.

Cheers.

The custom is an upgraded landlock/broadcast type wakesurfer. That's the best way I can describe it, rounded rails bouncy-surf like. I personally could not stand the traction placement. Mine is on eBay. The landlock you ride and the Custom are more alike the, the loogey you are going to ride will be drastically different and I think you'll enjoy that over the custom.

Ride as many as you can!

Thanks for the words Loc. I've been reading the other thread, and you have given some informative advice. I'm looking for a board that will give me good speed control, (front and back), as well as a board that will help me advance with surface tricks. The water tends to get rough, where I ride, and my big Landlock is slow when trying to recover from big rollers. I usually cannot save the run, when we go through big rollers. I'm hoping a smaller, more responsive board, will allow me to pump back to the pocket. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks again for the advice.

Cheers.

How big are ya man? How many other people will ride this board? We can point you in the right direction better understanding your weight, height, riding style.

You're right, it's amazing how many boards are out there and even more amazing, how some will work for your and your style and others against you.

I'm 6'-2", 185#, and 39 years old. I didn't start water sports until I was 35, and am now obsessed . . . so where I lack in skill, I make up for with ambition. As far as riding style . . . Well, I'm not that good, but, I can free ride and can carve around OK. I get bored just riding, and am anxious to start learning 180's and eventually, 360's.

Do you have a cure?

Barret, I found the custum to be a slow big beast. Give the loogie some time, it has alot of float and is very fast. It has grat recovery when pumped.
