Centurions new Aegis tower with fiberglass bimini

so i was re-reading the latest WBing magazine and came across this. pretty bad ass. i love the FG top! all CNC folding tower too. colapses 7" lower than the 2012 tower. FX-22 with hammerhead bow http://features.boats.com/boat-conte...ad-hardtop.jpg http://slayshtank.com/wp-content/upl...at-640x329.jpg http://www.centurionboats.com/media/.../FX22_2_lg.jpg http://www.centurionboats.com/media/...erhead-Bow.jpg cant find many pics of it. it doesnt appear to be on there site yet. i really love that FG top |
go to centurioncrew.com. They have tons of pics, videos of the wave, ect. Check it out.
didnt see any other pics than the ones i found. but im not a member so maybe there were some attachments i couldnt see.

It's a different approach to the pickle fork. The tower is neat too.
i just love the fiberglass bimini!
What are under the cowls? are they functional?
these almost look like speakers? https://dl.dropbox.com/u/2732440/hh.jpg |
id guess engine bay air outlets. the scoops in the bow are the inlets.
The grills inside of that cowl looks kind of like a polk momo.

^^^ Looks like air intake, most boats' intakes are bellow the window, but this is a cool location assuming they have a way to manage any rollers that MAY crest that bow. We've seen the Epic transom audio, now we have the Centurion bow audio…. |
the things that look likes speakers are the air intakes.
oops. i thought that was the back of the boat. lol yeah they tell you that they are air inlets.
i just noticed in the first pic. it appears to have a tilt steering column like a car? or a very "18 wheeler" steering wheel angle :D |

The tower has a Mastercrafat power tower-esqu look to it. Judging by the shape. Looks nice. Not sure if I did the fiberglass bimini. Personally I do like the fabric biminis, still feels like a convertable.
What do you do with the bimini on a cooler day where you want full sun? It's cool looking but sometimes you just want some sun or you want to take the bimini down on a windy day for loading the boat so you don't get that "sail" effect.
Dont like the idea of a fiberglass bimini....but I don't much like the idea of any bimini anyways haha!
This boat isn't picklefork hull. And I agree with Joe above. I don't need no stinking bimini! That said, the fiberglass bimini is pretty cool. ;o)
Cory its really ugly. It looks like an old hard top convertible but it doesn't make any sense.

i actually really dig that! hard top verts are bad ass. which is why high end manufactures still use them.
and to all you guys that dont want a bimini, you obviously dont live in texas :D thanks for the pics mark! looks amazing! edit: just noticed the fiberglass walkway on the sunpad too. i love that! i have to hand it to centerion on this boat, they have really done alot to make this boat stand out from all the other boats on the market. i could do without the TV in the bow though :D |
I think the screen in the bow was just for that show. The one in the video doesn't show it there.
You do understand that the hard top bimini is an option right??
