Ok, so I know there are a million perfect pass threads out there but that makes it kinda hard to search for the specific topic I am looking for. Anyway, my perfect pass is off right now by like 10mph and I cannot get it to be right. At the beginning of last season it didn't work because it rested on the trailer all winter and the protective sides got the paddle wheel stuck. It was again like that this year and I pulled them back again but it is now working but off by quite a bit. Anyone have any suggestions? It kinda sucks having to put your perfect pass at 15mph to go ride.

i just went through calibrating mine. the easiest way is with a gps hand held unit. get up and running at a consistent speed and adjust the pp to meet that number. Its actually pretty easy. the pp adjusts differently depending on your boat, mine is an 07 supra so it was integrated and might be different than yours, but the instructions were in my manual.

Honestly, it really doesn't matter so long as 15mph is the same speed every time you ride. I ride mine @ 20.8, but one friends' I ride at 24.8 and another's at 22.2.

If its the actual number bothers you, I'd just suggest changing it from MPH to KPH...

It does bother me a tad because when people come ride and want a specific speed it is hard to adjust for them. Also, now I am getting absolutely nothing and the paddlewheel spins freely. I got frustrated so I just went riding instead.

Sounds like you need to start with a clean memory.. Hold the On/Off button and the Menu button in while the PP is booting up.. Then follow the reset prompts... Set your KDW at 180 if your running around 2k in ballast and leave the Nm at the stock default setting for now.. The higher KDW makes the computer more aggressive.. the default setting is 80.. Good Luck

hey guys,
i have a question. will putting a lower torqued prop on your boat change your speed or your perfect pass?

if you're running on RPM mode -YES! if you use the paddle wheel - no. Ryan- get a hand held GPS and then go into the menu and calibrate the settings- you can add or subtract MPH's off the reading to get it exact.

Ryan, your paddle wheel sensor migh be shot fro having the weight of the boat resting on it during the winter on the trailer- that's wierd that it would be so close to the trailer bunk though.

I had a problem with mine, until i found out there is a way to re-set the PP back to how it came from the factory. I completely forgot how or what i did but it works perfectly now, so if anyone knows how to re-set i would try that!
