I really want to get a canopy for my boat lift but can't find anything for my style lift. My boat lift has only 2 posts just like this one:
http://www.goldenboatlifts.com/elevator_boat_pic1.htm

Does anyone make a canopy that is designed to use 2 posts instead of 4?

How deep is the water?

Mounting with only two poles is not gonna hold up a canopy in strong winds.

http://www.tigerboatdocks.com/

A friend of mines company. they may have something in their used section that could work??

It looks like it would be pretty easy to fab four posts on a system like that with some drilling through the cross members and some heavy duty u-bolts or through bolts depending on your posts. There is not much to a canopy and sure you could find a local welder to build a frame for only 2 posts, but any gusts much over 20MPH and a canopy is more like a kite or sail. I had a four post built out of aluminum from Hewitt docks for <$2G, but went with a sheet metal roof instead of a canopy. (see profile)
