Someone just gave me the program. Any advice on using it. Any good books.

It's the program I use mostly. check out the tutorials on Apple's website for a good overview of how the program works. It has one of the best RAW convertors going IMHO. Keep in mind it's more of an organizational program with basic editing functions vs a full blown image manipulation program like PS.

Rich what is the best way to stitch sequences on apature?

Like Rich said earlier, Aperture is more of an organizational program with some of the necessary tools to do RAW conversions. You would need a program like Photoshop to do most of the more indepth photo editing (such as sequences) Think of Aperture as "iPhoto extended." But I do agree with Rich, it's one of the most powerfull programs out there right now.
