A massive air picture from MN.

Had some fun this past weekend in the far North of Minnesota. Colin has always been known for going big, but I think this pic really helps put it into perspective. Our ropes are the same length, so there is no depth trickery going on.

cool pic - in too many ways - seeing you guys in wet suits already is not encouraging :-(

andy_nintzel 08-06-2013 6:53 AM

Good old Colin being Colin.

Nice pic. Wetsuits?! Where were you guys?

99Bison 08-06-2013 7:02 AM

Wetsuits this weekend?? Please tell me that was because it was 58deg and windy? I thought about wearing one because of that... :) But just the water isn't that cold.

mccormickscablepark 08-06-2013 7:18 AM

Crap...our water doesnt even get 58 during winter! And you guys are in the 50s air temps in August ugh

jarrod 08-06-2013 7:41 AM

Colin is a bad@ss

sppeders 08-06-2013 8:01 AM

15-16 feet up.

Must have been up in the Vermilion area?

99Bison 08-06-2013 8:10 AM

Water has to be upper 60's everywhere in mn right now. Yes it feels warmer than the air when it's relatively cold out. Like the last 3 weeks air temp of like 77 max and lots of upper 60's highs.

migs 08-06-2013 8:13 AM

im more focused on the size of that wake:eek:

ironj32 08-06-2013 8:25 AM

Yea, we were up on Vermillion (pretty much Canada for those who aren't familiar with MN). The water was about 67, air 66, cloudy and windy...called for wetsuits.

That is a pretty good look at the size of the wake. I'm 5'11", and you can see that it comes up to my upper thigh.

snowslider76 08-06-2013 8:33 AM

Man the picture barely does this justice compared to seeing it from the boat, so big and just explosive.

It felt like a fall weekend for sure, one of those that the temp changes 15 degrees when the sun goes behind the clouds. Hoodie on hoodie off back and forth. I still thought it was pretty decent for being that far up north in the MN summer that wasn't.

will5150 08-06-2013 9:10 AM

We were on Lake Carlos in Alex on Saturday- was 76 degree water and air- a little brisk, but not too bad. Then we were on Sugar Lake Sunday afternoon - temp was 78 water and 78 air- was nice.

It has been a weird summer. Lakes in the cities are still in the upper 70's low 80's tho.

Is Colin on a LF Witness here (trying to place the board he is on)? I've seen him on the Watson and Harley through the years, so figured it must be a LF board of some kind. Wake looks ridiculous as usual!

ironj32 08-06-2013 6:01 PM

Yes, he's riding the Witness, for the time being. Once the 2014 gear rolls out he'll be back on the Watson Classic.

captain_vilfo 08-06-2013 8:05 PM

we're using wetsuits in central ny as well

captain_vilfo 08-06-2013 8:05 PM

sweet pic though!

phillywakeboarder 08-06-2013 8:35 PM

Grand Rapids, MN in Itasca county, we got 1,000 of Minnesota 10,000 in the county. Its like a play ground for my X-Star!

99Bison 08-08-2013 5:20 PM

Nice, nice. It's very scenic up there. And not busy ever I imagine.
