Seems to be a flood of the same flame-bait threads so I thought everyone could use a laugh.

Due to the shape of the hull on the Epic. When towing the "Drop ZONE" design of the hull suck's the trailer to the boat so rear stap's are not required.

if i said something that bad when i was a kid i got a bar of soap in my mouth.

new question- do i have to leave my plug at all times when my boat is in the water? i have an auto bildge pump and i like the extra ballest.

ill give this no more than 10 min. to "delete"

sidekicknicholas 09-19-2007 11:54 AM

my epic has wheels.... its so advanced i don't need a truck to tow it.... you're all just jealous

rallyart 09-19-2007 12:08 PM

No plug, it takes too much time to pull out on the ramp.

Edit:
Oops I'm out of the 10 minutes. I knew I shouldn't of eaten lunch...

(Message edited by rallyart on September 19, 2007)

The real Epics (Toyota) didn't need straps.

Epics do need back straps. But their awesomeness allows them to not need a bow connection. Also, epics throw even larger wakes if you dont take them off the trailer while you ride, something about the fenders cleaning up the wake.

They also automatically shut themselves off whenever anyone is in the water nearby, and throw no wake at all during powerturns.

phatboypimp 09-19-2007 5:38 PM

Damn, I should have bought an Epic, how come the dealer didn't share all of this with me?

westsiderippa 09-19-2007 5:55 PM

i heard they had special magnets that hold your boards in the rack while towing on the freeway

i think they just drop their wedge and the wind resistance holds the boat down.

Scott,

It's so nice of you to ask! I can hardly believe that the WW community is so concerned as to launch an entire thread seeking the answer to this burning question.....

I don't want anyone to lose any sleep pondering this important issue!

THE REAL EPICS....I can sleep now.

Just curious why everyone is bagging on the Epic. Why I don't particularly care for the Epic myself Chris Anthony has proven to be a great guy. He knows I own a nautique, but still answers all my emails and questions. Hell, he made what everyone asked for, a SAN 210 on steroids, what gives??

westsiderippa 09-20-2007 3:52 PM

i dont think it has anything to do with epic. its the lack of decent material on this site for the past couple weeks and everyone is at work waiting to go home right now

w00taz 09-21-2007 11:50 AM

haha I posted it because its a great conglomeration of two highly discussed senseless topics.

05mobiuslsv 09-21-2007 1:22 PM

Let me guess you don't use straps right?

lakeski 09-21-2007 4:54 PM

I do?

The Safro Marine logo looks right side up to me!

jimr 09-21-2007 5:44 PM

^^^^^^^
Besides that, the plastic coated hooks are connected to the boat rings while the non-coated ones (as far as I can tell) are connected to the trailer. My straps connect the same way. I don't give a sh*t which way the logo is oriented that's the way I would put them on my boat.

summerobsession 09-24-2007 7:45 AM

OK, but the REAL question that no one seems to have guts enough to ask:

Do the guys that own Epics strap their own boats down or do their wives do the strap-on for them??

Thread delete in 5....4....3....2....1....

My bad.
