flight to Orlando's OWC...worth bringing board?
Flying to Orlando for wedding....plan on boat session at OWC...is it worth it to bring my board or just rent one?
what kind of boards do they have? |
It depends on a few things. Do you have a slider board already? If so it will save you money to simply bring your gear...if you are flying southwest as they do not charge for wakeboards. Even though their policy says they do not charge I still generally just curbside it and pay 5-10 to the curbside guy. Also I believe perfski (proshop at o-dub) only rents hype gear now.

Slider Boards with Helmet included 1 Hour……………………..$20.00 2 Hours…………………..$30.00 All Day…………………….$45.00 ^^^ That's cheaper than I remember it being a while back. I would think they could throw in a board rental if you're paying for a boat set..... |
Last I checked they didn't have CWB, so yes, I take my own :-)

Yes those are the boat rates to ride.
So a non-slider board is: Pro shop equipment rental Board/ Slalom ski/ Wake skate 1 Hour……………………..$10.00 2 Hours…………………..$20.00 All Day…………………….$30.00 Someone will chime in, but it's either Ronix or Hyperlite gear on site, and others are likely available for demo at Performance's main shop 5 min away. Again, I could see them throwing in a board to use with what you're paying for the boat set. |
I would just rent or UPS your stuff, its cheaper to do that than pay baggage fees
|
A bit off topic, but anyone know what the water temp there is?
|
Chilly. It's good to have a spring suit.
|
I would guess mid/upper 60's... longer into march the warmer they'll get
|
Thanks guys.....Yah im not hitting the cable park.....just the boat session....But the off topic reply made me remember to bring my wetsuit at least!!!!
