Beyond style are there any large performance differences between the original Driver to the D2...

*lighter and better materials in the shell. cut down on a little bit of the bulk too
*Laces are not so excessively long and the clips are replaced with snaps to prevent lace dangle 100%
*(my favorite) addition of the new Poron foot beds, before there was no foot bed other than the liner
*Intuition liners are better quality and are absent of the skanky female silhouette graphics that are not the most family friendly ;)
*Interior ankle cuff and laces is removable and better quality too

i think that might be about it

http://youtube.com/watch?v=s7lwEUQ6j0I
this is a boat show vid link that might be helpfull

i looked into the pb floids, but i don't like having to worry about the hiking boot style lace loops that have to be looped around in lacing... plus i think i like the stiffer d2 anyway. just my opinion ;) try them out in the store... or better yet on/in the water
