I have a new supreme v208 with 3 ballast tank system. The ballast fills fine, and the front empty's fine, but the rear tanks won't empty. When I flip the switch I hear the pumps working to empty but nothing pours out. I don't know much about these systems so im hoping someone could tell me possible causes. My dealer is over an hour away and I am hoping that if it is an easy fix to do it myself and save the hassel of towing out, and then later going to pick up the boat.

Thanks a lot
Jamie

I had the same issue, and it ended up being a kinked hose I couldn't see. You might check the impeller in the pump as well.

I also have a V208 and I had the same problem as you. It ended up being the ballast puppy impeller. Supreme has used a really poor design and you'll have nothing but problems until you replace the impellers with the yellow lubricant infused ones. I had mine in the shop 4-5 times with the same issue and it never got solved until I did research on my own and had the impellers replaced. The design Supreme uses is to have the same pump fill and drain which causes the fins on the impeller to fold over in one of the two positions. The new impellers are about $30 a piece and take about 10 minutes to change out. I hope this helps you out. I know I dealt with this for a whole summer and it was a real bummer

Perfect thanks. I will check the hoses and change to those better impellers and hopefully all goes well!

I got mine through a local boat service center here in Northern Cal. From what I've heard they are a lil hard to find. Make sure you are getting the YELLOW lubricant infused ones though and not just stock replacements

Does anybody have a supplier or manufactorer for these impellers? Jabsco does not list anything that is yellow infused or lubricated.

I'll try and find out the part number etc and let you guys know

motogod77 05-19-2009 5:04 PM

I've got it - the DMP # (distributor for a lot of dealers) 51-1001 they are like $30.00 and the Jabsco # is 6303-0001

My 2007 V212 has tsunami aerator pumps not jabscos.Check what type you have so you don't buy parts that you can't use.

I'd ask about the green impellers when ordering. I've heard that the yellow ones don't create enough of a suction at times to empty sacs. The green are in between the black and yellow in terms of flexibility...that is if you have the jabsco reversible pumps of course.
