Look around at your local dealers--see who you get a good vibe from, talk to their other customers--dealer relationship is so important!Narrow your choices down to a couple of models and then repost, you will get plenty of opinions.

I think you'll get advice from what each person currently owns because in our minds it is the best boat for the $$$. I've owned two Calabria's and my new 08 will be here next week. I've owned BU, Nautique, Supra, and Supreme before and think the Calabria is the best for the buck. I haven't owned a Sanger or Moomba so I can't tell you with these two. A friend has a Sanger Crow and he's really happy.

Factor that in and it's practically free! <BR> <BR>Seriously, probably Sanger V215 or V-Ride maybe an X1 if you can find a dealer not marking them way up because it says MC on it and your fine with no stereo and a single axle trailer.

There are quite a few boats you could get into for under 60K. Check out the dealers, this can not be stated enough (FYI, I'm a dealer) buying a boat is a huge deal, owning a boat is a bigger deal you want to make sure you're getting taken care of while owning the boat. Obviously I am biased towards my dealership but that being said, I know what other dealers are good and which ones are not. I know of a boat (other than what we carry) that I would love to own but the dealers lack of service, service techs, parts, etc. means I would never buy it. I can say this honeslty as I owned this brand before working here and ran into this problem on basic items, he even shipped me the wrong impellor and you don't get much more basic than that.

For best bang for the buck my vote has to go with Moomba. You get a solid boat with good wakeboarding wakes. I have gone through mastercraft, moomba and now I have a malibu. It does what other wakeboarding boats does just without the bling factor.

Dirk, they're all pretty good. The drivelines are very similar between manufacturers and the technology is not really cutting edge so you can get good products from most makers. <BR>Make a list of critical features. Are you going to trailer it, where are you going to store it, does it fit, can you tow it. What seating might be important and what features are critical. Do you take it in rough water, do you use it in the cold, do you need shade. There are a million things so narrow down what's important when you look at them on the water or at the dealer. Do you want new or is used or demoed OK. <BR>Then Demo anything that catches your eye or interest. <BR>Most people end up buying from the most convenient location so the miss out looking at others. So demo are get a ride behind someone's. Almost everyone is flattered to have you show an interest in their boat. <BR>I bought the right boat for me but I'm not you. <BR>Good luck.

IMO all inboard wakeboard boats are way over priced. To answer your question it really depends on what you want fit and finish wise. Nearly all of the big companies from MC to Moomba all have the same or very similar engines, tranny's, V-drives etc so the durability of them mechanically is pretty close. Fit Finish and name is where you pay. If you are not huge into luxury then you can't beat the Moomba XLV for a 23' boat in the 40's range. If you have the money the Bu VLX or the SANTE are both awesome fit/finish wise. Good luck
