My buddy is entering the boating world, and waited till Jan or early Feb to get his boat...which is good. He wants a tower, and preferably a V drive, but he has been looking at this 92 Sanger FX22. What do you guys think, with a couple 750s could this thing surf? I know its a rare hull, anyone been behind one?

Hey Wakedirt, I may be buying one of these pretty soon. I currently own a 2003 I/o BAYLINER. Im just wondering did your friend end up buying this boat? and if so how was the wake? thanks!

i've got a 97 sanger, and it is very surfable. If you've got phat sacks or some Phat friends both will help out for sure!

not sure if they made drastic changes between 92 to 97, but you should be good.

I had a 1990 Ski Sanger with a wooden platform many years ago and what I did was put a wake sac called a fat chair, just filled the bottom, and a 350 sac on each side of the motor and could crossover and surf both sides of the wake with a surfboard. It was a blast.
