I have something similar to the top one in the Vride &amp; had one in the 205..... stashed under the dash on the driver's side. In fact, I have one on the Avalanche too, but got tired of looking at it so I stashed it under the hood. <BR> <BR>They work fine..... although we don't listen to FM much any more. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by bill_airjunky on November 12, 2008)

I use the 2nd style all the time, they work fine and are quite a bit cheaper then an actual mast antenna for a car. $.02

Where can you get the second one.

I use the second one, bought it at west marine I think. The other day, I was moving it around trying to get a better signal, and I touched the stripped end of it to the bare metal of my tower. The reception got a lot better, so I snaked it through the tower and pulled the end out of the lower tower section and screwed it to the tower. It's a tiny screw and its hidden. Instantly better reception.
