how hard/expensive is it to fix? we hit something while riding and it bent it backward, rippng the two front bolts out. im 99% sure there was no hull cracking.

Provided you did not do any gel or fiberglass damage it should be pretty easy, though if you ripped the screws out you're going to have to make sure to fill the holes in so the screws will hold. <BR> <BR>Did you do any prop, drive shaft or strut damage? If you were shallow enough to hit a tracking fin you were shallow enough to hit the other underwater gear. I would definitally check into it, a bent drive shaft or strut can cause other issues down the line.

I'd say if it ripped out the 2 front bolts, it has pulled the threads on the back 2. <BR> <BR>I would have it looked at/fixed by a quality glass shop.

i was out at night one time and hit a floater that ripped off the front skeg (skag, whatever its called) and it sucked! first, i had to uh-hook all the balast pumps and have them draining out of the bottom of the boat AND trying to keep it stay on top of the water just to keep it from sinking... <BR> <BR>once we got it on the trailer and to the shop, im pretty sure they had to rip out the ENTIRE floor and everything to put a new one on... <BR> <BR>im sure that may change on different types of boats and i wish you luck.

should be a couple screws that hold it it place from the underside of the hull. very important to find any hull damage at this point.

Did that to a Malibu about four years back and it took out all three skegs and cost a small fortune.
