Wetsounds amp syn 6

So I just installed some rev 10s on my boat and a syn 6 amp. I plan on putting a sub and a ws 420 in some time in the future but I was wondering why is it that everyone uses the syn 4 amp and you don't here tell of the syn 6 used that much. Should I have got the syn 4 instead? What's the difference?

Syn 6 has 2 more channels...power is configurable...2 ohms, 4 ohms..depending how you hooked it up...

The Syn 6 isn't the best fit for a pair of rev 10s...A syn 4 for the rev 10s would have been the best fit..

Each rev 10 requires 300 Watts...
Syn 6 gives :
Stereo @ 4 Ohms 60 x 4 watts and 155 x 2 watts RMS
Stereo @ 2 Ohms 105 x 4 watts and 305 x 2 watts RMS
Mono @ 4 Ohms 200 x 2 watts and 600 x 1 watts RMS

Doesn't look like you will be able to power them properly..... I would switch personally..use the syn 6 for interior speakers..

I have a Syn2 for sale that would rock the Rev10's. You could then use your Syn 6 for in boat.

I have an amp you could buy for your setup.

My rev10s arrive this week. After discussions with WS and Earmark, the Syn4 IS the amp (if going Wet Sounds) for properly powering the Revs10s (bridged, 400x2). Like mentioned above, the Syn6 is a good choice for powering the in-boats and sub (which is exactly how I'm powering mine), for example, up to 4 pairs of xs650s and a 10" sub.

Don't use a syn 2 with a pair of rev 10's. That won't sound as good as a syn 4.
