Folks using PerfectPass and ballast, I need your help.

can you please post what your KDW, NNW CS and CR settings are set at.

My perfectpass works great when their is no-one being towed, but as soon as you get someone on the rope, the boat will not come up to the set speed. (Same results with 750 lbs and 1050 lbs of ballast)

For example, the speed can be set at 9.8 MPH for surfing, rider gets up, perfectpass engages and beeps, but is only pulling rider at about 7 mph thru nothing but froth.

Takes a lonnnnnnnng time for the boat to ever get to set speed.

I'm thinking & hoping it's just a computer value that needs reset.

According to the manual the CS factory setting should be 750, but mine came from the factory set at 1800 (range is 735-900)!

Boat is a 2009 Moomba Outback V with factory installed PerfectPass - Wake Board Pro / Factory installed Gravity 3 ballast system.

ed, i had the same problem with perfect pass with my mastercraft, called perfect pass and it turned out to be a bad module.

ended up just going with stargazer and i simply love it.

I noticed that something similar would happen if I accelerated a certain way, usually too slowly. I made sure that I was accelerating smoothly and not pushing the throttle faster than the boat was accelerating. I don't know if that makes sense but I played around with it until I figured it out.

Hey Ed, I've had a lot of issues with the perfectpass not setting in right as well. I switched mine to go off of RPMs and it has worked a lot better... the RPMs need some adjustment each time, based on the weight, but it sets in and works a lot better than going off of MPH.

interesting Wazzu.

Got a guestimate what your rpm setting for a 200 lb surfer is? (I can use that as a starting point)

I have an 05 Centurion Avalanche and our RPMs ranged anywhere from 2250 to 2500, depending on how much weight we had in the boat. I usually do a warm up run for about a hundred yards and adjust it to what I think looks pretty good, then you can have the driver make small adjustments once you are on the water. RPMs seems to be a more exact speed too, so you can get the wake just the way you want it. Hope this helps.
