Just finished the Stargazer Upgrade install.

Very Nice (in Borat voice)

Easy plug-n-play install, took all of about 45 minutes (most of which was me second guessing myself). Super easy, ridiculous!

Can't wait to try out the new set-up on 4th of July weekend, Yea Baby!

Huh? What's the stargazer upgrade?

Its upgrading the perfect pass to a GPS monitored unit.

Make sure to give us a review on what you think?

I get my stargazer today or tomorrow The whole perfect pass system tho so Im sure it will be a little more than 45 min to install.

Installed mine this winter, it took a friend and I about two hours for the complete install. Best money that I have ever spent, makes days at the lake much more enjoyable.

I'll post a review after the weekend.

I have high expectations. My old perfect pass system was pretty lame. I spent countless hours adjusting and tweaking the settings. Turned out that the paddle wheel was installed too far forward, so when I had the boat weighted the paddle would sorta "float" just above the water, so it got irregular readings.

The GPS will eliminate that problem, and give me a steady pull for once (I hope).

Really doesn't apply to me at all b/c I am not a boat owner...yet. BUT, I was wondering how Stargazer works with the new dashes that basically have TVs in them. Reading on the PP site you need the newer display for it to work and that made me question how it works with say the new MCs and BUs. Again its an issue that doesn't concern me, just curious.

I've used the StarGazer on a friend's Supra and it seemed to work extremely well. I dont think it was as accurate as Zero Off, but it was better than regular PP. Plus his was a super early version of StarGazer. They sent it to him before it was released to replace the busted one that came in his new Supra. Let us know how yours works.

Nick,

I had to replace my display, as I had the old single line one. My old one was pretty beat-up, the buttons were worn out because I had to screw with the settings so much. The new display is sick, even has the Nautique logo on it.

I'm not sure how the Stargazer would integrate into some of the newer boat's display units. Good question.

I'll keep everyone posted on how it works.

Yea man! You guys are welcome to stay at my house, so all you got to do is pay the airfare. I got a tow-in surf outfitted Honda ski so we can play in the surf too. Lots of good deals lately...

It was good seeing you and the family in Las Vegas.
