Anybody flying into Midway airport Thursday? If so, can you take a rider to the host hotel?Urgent!!

wakedad33 08-02-2008 12:44 PM

HH99, give me a time, and I well make some calls.

headhunter 08-02-2008 2:10 PM

Actually the ride is for Victoria Kulp, I think she gets in around 11'sh.

sidekicknicholas 08-02-2008 3:06 PM

I maybe in Milwaukee that day, chicago isn't too far... I should know by tues if nothing else comes up

sbt3 08-03-2008 4:50 AM

It's possible that I may be driving past both midway and the nationals site on Thursday. It depends on my work schedule, I have to work in Indy that week and maybe be driving home that day. You can pm or email me if you need help with a ride. Is that 11 AM or PM?

rnopr8 08-03-2008 8:16 AM

I ride at that time or I would just go get her. Do they have super shuttles there or does the Raddison have a shuttle she could take?

wakebrdmom 08-03-2008 9:33 AM

We arrive at Midway at 12:45. She could ride with us.

teamvaldez 08-03-2008 2:23 PM

Another way for anybody to get to the site is the bus system in Chicago to Kenosha. Nic Jones was stuck out there last year, we told him about the bus system (nice and clean) and for 25.00 it took him right to the brat stop. Corey Bradley had just paid 85.00 for a shuttle. The busses are just like planes. check it out!

rnopr8 08-03-2008 2:28 PM

Thanks for the info Robyn...we need to get from Milwaukee to Ohare the following week.

headhunter 08-03-2008 4:59 PM

We asked about shuttle service, none. There's limo service, $160. Bus, $45.

teamvaldez 08-03-2008 6:04 PM

Coach USA website. More than Ohare by $11.00 but still worth it not having to pay tolls, deal with traffic and gas <BR> <BR><a href="http://www.coachusa.com/info/wisconsincoach/ss.toolkit.airportfares.asp" target="_blank">http://www.coachusa.com/info/wisconsincoach/ss.toolkit.airportfares.asp</a> <BR> <BR>(Message edited by teamvaldez on August 03, 2008)

kiwi1 08-04-2008 10:21 AM

I'm getting a ride from the Paytons. Thank you everyone for your help!! See you at nationals! <BR> <BR>Victoria

brodie_chaboya 08-05-2008 10:18 AM

Anyone have room for me wed/thurs night? Any floor/couch would be great. Any local help or know if there are any super cheap hotel/motel near by? Thanks

dizzyg 08-06-2008 9:10 AM

I can pickup anyone any night if they can get to the Metra Station in Libertyville. You'd probably have to take the metra downtown and then back out from union. I leave work between 5:00 and 6:00pm those days, let me know via PM and I'll pass a phone number. I head from Libertyville to Milwaukee

headhunter 08-07-2008 6:36 AM

bbr 08-07-2008 4:59 PM

Anyone see what the Master's guys were throwing down?

wakedad33 08-07-2008 5:14 PM

First 2 in Jr men's move on? Looks like the top dogs are still the top dogs. No big upsets. Congrats guys, miss being there.

eas 08-08-2008 7:56 AM

bbr: not exactly sure this year, but from what i know of past events and what i've seen and heard of your bag, i think you could easily compete.

uppledup17 08-08-2008 9:14 AM

BBR, <BR>Not sure if he has added a lot to his bag, but I know Vanpatten was throwing Tantrum to Blind,Hoochie, OA 3's a couple years back.

xistential 08-08-2008 9:36 AM

How come you not there Randy??

deltawake 08-08-2008 9:38 AM

Today's Boys results??

sbt3 08-08-2008 9:44 AM

BBR- Most of the mens masters had the standard raley and inverted tricks. Some 3's and 5's. I saw a fall on a tootsie roll. There were some tantrum to fakie and a whirly in there too. Vanpatten threw a sweet batwing. I'm sure these guys have more than this too but probably stick to the stock stuff for the comp. I didn't see what went down in the finals, just the qualifying on wed. I didn't see any handle pass mobe attempts from anyone.

wakeviolater 08-08-2008 9:54 AM

go brodie!

bbr 08-08-2008 10:59 AM

Thanks guys! I was at the Wake Games, but kinda choked in the finals but was able to see some of what was goin down. But Nationals is a bit different, usually there are some more tech tricks being thrown. I'll be there for sure next year though, still working some stuff<IMG SRC="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" ALT=":-)" BORDER=0>

wakedad33 08-08-2008 12:12 PM

Chris $ for one thing and Alex had some coaching job this week &amp; wanted to stay out west and ride a big contest in WA this weekend. Tell Nicola good luck.

eas 08-08-2008 12:17 PM

does that mean no trip to the okie noodlin', fish fryin, rail slidin, worlds party in oct?

bbr 08-08-2008 1:12 PM

Not for me this year. Next year though for sure!

headhunter 08-08-2008 1:22 PM

Worlds is the weekend before Expo this year, Sept.

eas 08-08-2008 1:23 PM

sorry...that was for randy/alex...they were gonna come stay at my house for worlds. <BR> <BR>but brr: if i get some work done behind the boat, i'm hoping to make nationals next year as well. (but i've got further to go than you for sure).

wakedad33 08-08-2008 5:14 PM

Eric, just because he's not riding dosen't mean were not coming to the Okie noodlin, fish frying, rail sliding, worlds party, and you forgot the moon shine drinking contest between me, Doug &amp; Robyn. You have a Masters Noodlin division? Because I'm all about it <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/biggrin.gif" border=0> I here Ryan Killed it today.

26lacefield 08-09-2008 12:12 AM

Randy do you know when the pro man ride.

alliecat0223 08-09-2008 7:24 AM

I have to say WAY TO GO to my friend Erica who was the only one in the womens division. I have been riding with her ever since I started riding. To see her name up there made me glad I ride against her at our local NWL events. I dont care if she beats me ( I know she will) next week at NWL nationals. GOOD LUCK TO THE REST OF THE KY ROUGH RIVER RIDERS. !!!

lizrd 08-09-2008 8:11 AM

Yeah, Erica rocked. I rode in the Master's Women and I have to say us "old ladies" held our own, too! It was so great to have a division that was age appropriate!

wakedad33 08-09-2008 8:17 AM

Ryan, Quarter finals for pro men are at 1:00 today. <BR> <BR>Got to give a shout out to my boys, Chad &amp; Blake Payton for moving on yesterday to the simis in the Boys division. Keep it going guys.

cece 08-09-2008 9:06 AM

Here is a picture of Erica with her trophy. I spent two days hanging out with her and I have to say she is a great woman. Congratulations to her! <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/611732.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR> <BR>Special thanks to Geri for taking the lead on getting the Master Women's division added. I believe we were all winners for stepping up and supporting a great new division. <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/611733.jpg" alt="Upload">

xistential 08-09-2008 9:16 AM

I must say I am not at all partial to the WWC, much preferring the professionalism of the WWA. The one thing I do feel that the WWC do right is that they will not have a division unless there are a minimum of 6 competitors. I have been at a few worlds where Junior Women had to move up to Open Women , girls to Junior Women and so on as there were not enough competitors. I think they should have a minimum of 3. Sucks for sure if you are in that division and I know you can only beat those you are competing against. But one in a division?

lizrd 08-09-2008 3:21 PM

Oh wow that was so much fun! Geri is on the top of that podium which is where she should be for being the driving force for Women's Masters. Watch out boys, us women can RIDE!

joefloe 08-09-2008 6:16 PM

anybody know the results from today ?

headhunter 08-09-2008 6:29 PM

You would think by now, they would have the capacity to post scores as soon as the division is done. It takes them an hour to post them on site, let alone to the rest of the world! You'll probably see them about 10PM EST.

dadthedriver 08-09-2008 6:43 PM

its up <BR><a href="http://www.kingofwake.com/article.jsp?ID=49214" target="_blank">http://www.kingofwake.com/article.jsp?ID=49214</a>

headhunter 08-09-2008 7:38 PM

What's with all the no-shows in the Pro Men? Seems like a waste of $$$$.

alliecat0223 08-10-2008 8:34 AM

Chris thanks for posting that picture for me. Erica got me into competion riding. I dont care how bad a I do what so ever its all about having fun. SHe taught me that no matter what. And her family the Browns is like my second family. I have gotten yelled at for not comming down to ride with them that much this year due to school. I dont know what I would do with out that whole family in my life. THey have been there for me through the roughest times in my life. And I cant say thank you enough too them. Other than next year I am so going. !!

headhunter 08-10-2008 2:17 PM

Any word yet on all the Finals?

wakedad33 08-10-2008 2:39 PM

Not offical but I heard Jr. Men's was this. <BR> <BR>1. Jimmy LaRiche <BR>2. Bob Soven <BR>3. Ryan Anderson

xistential 08-10-2008 3:04 PM

headhunter 08-10-2008 3:19 PM

diddy666 08-10-2008 3:23 PM

Hey HH99, Some of the no shows are for injuries.

headhunter 08-10-2008 4:05 PM

Injured are entitled to their fee getting refunded. If they are listed as a no show, then they paid an entrance fee, and were registered to ride.

Injured people are intitled to get their fees back, but some are still listed. One competitor is listed and I know he is injured and should be getting his fee back.

Looks like Rough River Lake represented well at nationals. Rough will be sending 4 riders to Worlds....Nick Brown, Delanie Parker, Erica Dumeyer, and Nick Link.
